All because the record company they were with Elektra? Would not put out. No advertising, videos, promotions nothing..They toured then disbanded. WTF??? We miss you Miss Kier!!! Come back to us soon! Much love!
I like Deelite very much, too bad they are now part of the past. The beginning music sounds alittle like "I Got The Power" by Snap.I like the music playing while showing their apartment.
Deee-Lite = under-rated. They were no one hit wonder. Every album and single put out was stellar!Lady Miss Kier came along and put the fear of God into Madonna. L.M.K. was bringing a certain style Madonna hadn't even thought of + add to that L.M.K.'s vocal chops were funk/soul/pop perfection. This video series, I had too but have since lost. Thanks for the memories!
Yessss. I'm a dancer by profession and when I was a kid in the 90s (the Tunnel 95!) Dmitry was considered a good dancer by a lot of New York dancers AND Kier.
That is true. When I hear those tracks 18 and 15 years later I go WOW. Their albums started to get less comercial, but I think they should have stick to their music. I think that Kier breaking up with Dimitry was part of their spliting too.

some of their old stuff could be played today in a club and it would sound revolutionary. i think they were 20 years ahead of the curve.

We really lost something great when we lost them. It's too bad more people didn't understand and appreciate them more. What artistic genius!
