Something Cindy and all the other anti-war protesters need to keep in mind is that they have some blood on their hands as well as King George II. Everytime someone speaks out against the war in the media, they give the enemy incentive to kill more. If they just kill a few more, maybe we'll pack up and leave. Missing information...there were fire ants in that ditch, and it was steep sided, and difficult to walk in. The secret service made great show of driving up and down later, and driving on the wrong side of the road extremely close to us, and speaking in a threatening manner. We did keep our bargain and stayed in the ditch. Worse, once we got as far as they would let us go, we were not allowed to walk back to our vehicles to get water. It's unfortunate. If she were a special-interest lobbyist or a campaign contributor, she'd had no problem getting in touch with the president. I agree with everything Sheehan says. However she is an idealist while I am a realist. I meet her once and she's a good person, but she expected the goverment to change overnight when the democrats took power.

They tried to pass a bill but didn't have the votes to override Bush, and if they just let the funding dry up, it would have been political suicide, the Republicans would have had a foothold and they'd have chance in 2008.

The sad fact is that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. When it all started there seemed to be more ties to Saudi Arabia, but we couldn't go to war there, as there are in business with the Bush's. I think it a crime each day someone dies in Iraq for the Bush agenda. I support our troops (I was one during Desert Storm), but I think life worth more than that. If any American should die in a war, we must be sure that it is in protection of our freedoms, and not some fatcats wallet

Cindy's efforts are in great service to her country. She, and all those brave enough to speak their mind, are exercising the very rights and liberties that our brave soldiers enlist to protect. What is a disgrace is how our government would allow so many of our "mothers" to lose their "sons" to such an unjust cause. If Cindy's efforts can get our leaders to seek alternative solutions to war in the future, then she has done her son's memory and her fellow citizens a great service.

Mrs. Sheehan remain in my heart the bravest and courageous fighter against this unlawful war. She had the guts to stand to Bush and his gang of 8. Now she feels betrayeyd by her own Democratic people, but my husband and I respect her, admire her and will always consider her one of the very few, like Michael Moore that engraces this country, even if she gave up fighting. Now she probably can mourn the death of her dear son killed by the actions of Bush and his gang.
