EA Games did a promo for the release of MOHAirborne and asked the WW2LHA to provide a boot camp for 150 reporters from all over Europe to be trained as WW2 American paratroopers over 2 days(75 reporters each day).. after each days training we ended it with a battle with blank fire and piro's.

there is a video on here that a reporter did for a Duch T.V show which gives a better look at what it was about. type in Gameskings goes airborne

So how do you prevent hurting the "press dressed as Americans"? Were they blanks? I saw empty bullet shells fly out of the MGs, but IDK.

Be aware that I know almost nothing about guns, so just explain please :D

Yes they're blanks, you can always tell if a weapon has blanks as there is no recoil... as if there was bullet inside it would give a kick due to the force the bullet flying out.
