Today 17 Jan 2012 is day one of trying this exercise. Frankly I'm not expecting to do the full splits but will of course be over the moon if I manage it. Instead what I'm looking for is an increased range of motion so as to prevent injury when exercising. Having said all of that, the full splits is still my dream.
I am soooo not close to doing the splits yet, but how important is it to keep my hips square while practicing this? I find that my hips want to rotate away from the side of my front leg.

This helped alot because Im getting back into cheerleading and couldnt do the splits again but now I got it! Thanks :D
