The reason why FF6 rocked so hard, is it finally dropped the middle ages time frame, finally dropped the sterotypical male lead from a small village who saves the world, dropped the whole "good guys save the world", and dropped the bad guy who had some clever scheme and purpose (since kefka was just totally batshit insane, which is what made him awesome as well)

She's one of my favorite Final fantasy characters.

Terra is the best main character in any game, who gives up their life to save a town and a bunch of orphans? No one else does. This is why I hate Dissidia.....they practically ruined Terra, at least I still have her original games!
