  • Incredible collection you've got there! But shouldn't you have some shades on the windows? Not only to prevent UV damage, but also to prevent some sort of rude action taken by various wondering malefactors.

  • Hello and thank you, yes there should be blinds, but at the moment, most of the windows are full of machines, the windows open into my garden so no one can actually see in .

  • Do you have any "ordinary" tape recorders, like something with a BSR TD2 deck for example, or would you look at that in the same way that Jeremy Clarkson might look at an Austin Allegro?

  • Clarkson does love to hate some cars :-) I do have a number of other machines such as the Ultra with the BSR deck, couple of ordinary Philips machines can be seen in these pictures, there's a few ordinary Tandberg's there too! At one point I had over 400 recorders, at the time I had cheap storage in a decommissioned nuclear bunker, but when I lost that, I had to downsize. I then decided t try and collect old and professional only but have low end machines.

  • You need my revox t26 reel to reel added to your collection :-)

  • A t26 would be nice, one day I will have one :-)

  • Remarkable! Just goes to show I could display all my 50 or so machines if I had a garage :)

  • Upload reel to reel HD 720P

  • I uploaded it in 1080p but Youtube downsized it to 320, not sure why

  • can i have one? :( haha. This is amazing. Well done for keeping these alive!

  • I understand your job.

  • I saw a Sony TC-765 at 00:36 My favorite of my 40+ non-pro reel to reel decks.

  • The AEG k4 was still professional, are you thinking of the aw1/2?

  • The aw1 was from the early 50's, theres one in the collection, but there was one in a tall wooden case which used a K4 deck painted black, I may have the modle number wrong, but what ever it was, it looked domestic with a floor standing wooden case.

  • @Seblington I believe your talking about the FT4 model, or similar to that, those machines were mainly used by the wealthy and also used by offices.

  • @Seblington After a bit of reading i found all magnetophons were available for sale in the wooden trolley like stands. Typically they called them F series, the FT4 is like a k4, but in a trolley and suited for office use.

  • beautiful machines man! really like the old ones and the Series 7B.never seen so many!

  • Cheers, its quite an unusual machine, it came up for sale at £40 and just ha to have it

  • @Seblington great,great channel,subbed.

  • Thanks for sharing! So many of those machines are just stunningly beautiful!

It's also very interesting to see how the styles vary over time and how you can tell which are Brittish, Italian, and Japanese.

  • A dreamcollection! Very nice!

  • From which museum did you get the Studer B30 from?

Looking forward to seeing a video of that one.

  • THe Studer museum which is or was in zurich, about 2 years ago they were selling off lots of machines, many of them went to sponsors first, the rest went on EBay, I picked up this gem for around €450, I was sad to hear that the Studer A27's had already gone. Not sure if the museum is still there or not, but if it is, it will eb a smaller collection.

  • very very good!!!

  • Thank you

  • That looks good, You have an amazing and big collection.

Thank you for showing this and the interesting information

that you give about the taperecorders, i like your video's and

i am glad that you are making video's again, the are very

    interesting.

  • Thank you, I have now got space to do so, my old place was just packed out that there was no were to film, but this place is so big, the garauge is bigger than my old house!

  • Your collection is simply amazing ,I noticed you have a concrete floor, Is humidity a concern for you?

  • The floor is contrete as the origional professional racing driver restored heratige motors for teh Le mans circuits, there was a Lola T70 in there when I first viewed, he wanted hard floors so that he could clean them easy (oil and such), I havent decided if I will go down the route of carpets and such, though the place needs ot be as dry as possible.

  • The vintage EMIs are just beautiful - great history there...

  • Thank you, I still have to get the 2 BTR-1 machines from my old place
