I'd like to see an American carry out this interview, asking her about capital cities of various countries throughout the world (aside from the only two most Americans "sort of" know about (Canada, and Mexico). She'd nail the test I'm sure, but I doubt the interviewer would fare as well...

She could be even smarter if she could go to school and doesn't need to work at this young age, and earn money just to support all of her family members.

I suspect that these kids are better educated than you give them credit for.
American schools do not produce "mostly retards". Although, as we continue to remove funding and drop programs that promote children's imagination and creativity, layoff teachers and cram more and more kids into one classroom, we may be heading in that direction.

Memorizing the states and capitals doesn't make her smart, knowledgeable maybe, great memorization obviously. but not 'smart' per say...
I mean i dont remember all the states and capitals either, but i'd be insulted if someone didn't think i'm smart because of it
still great though that she could show such range of knowledge
