  • Well done, sir!

  • gives me the chils as this song represents someone lost to me long ago, you do this song so very well, I applaud you...

  • I'm sorry to hear of your loss. This song is one of those that can represent many things to many people. For me, it reminds me of a period of time that I went though a lot of changes. So, in that way, it's sort of melancholy. I'm glad you liked my version.

  • Sounded great. One of my favorite songs

  • you are good :) it´s dennis , you know björn welkes son ;)

  • excellent! i have loved this song since i first heard it and this has to be the best cover i have had the pleasure to listen to. great job.

  • you absolutely rock

  • Thanks Seth. Check out my originals at the myspace site and let me know what you think. Thanks again.

  • Beautiful, crisp, clear acoustic sound. Awesome vocals. Very well done. I think Pete and Tom would dig it. You're keeping the music alive. 5 stars my friend!

  • Thanks Russ. They were quite a band, weren't they? And, talk about musicianship! It's a shame we have to use the past tense when speaking about so many of the greats, huh?

  • really excellent. with my eyes closeds, I

thoth was listening the original BADFINGER.

Excuse-me, my english is short, but you are

    really professional.

  • Muchas gracias eduardo. Estoy contento que usted gusta lo.

  • great job- the vocal harmonies were spot-on, and your guitar arrangement was real nice too-

one question- how many overdubs did you do on it? it has such a full, rich sound

I really liked it, bro- 5/5

  • Thanks for the kind words. Check out the "more info" section for how I did the extras.

  • it does not get any better. if the real band was still around they would no longer be able to do it this good in a live manner

  • Thanks. I am very flattered by your comment. I hope you have time to listen to my original material at the site given on the video. Feel free to let me know what you think. Cheers.

  • Brilliant!

  • Very,very well done.

  • Awesome job. Very, very good.

  • Very, very good! Strong vocal, and very solid guitar work, including the signature riffs.

I am baffled by the sound of the guitar, though. I would swear it's a 12-string by the sound, but it sure looks like a 6-string. Are you running it through some kind of 12-string effect?

    Please advise!

  • Hey Warren,

Thanks for the compliment. Look at the "more info" space up in the upper right hand corner of the screen for the details of what I did. Have a good one.

  • I've read it twice now... you mention extracting the audio from another recording. Perhaps we're hearing your earlier guitar track along with the one you're 'currently playing. I'm sure that would create somewhat of a 'chorus' effect, but I wouldn't think it would sound quite so much like a 12-string guitar. Feel free to explain, briefly, should time and inclinations permit...

    Excellent 'take', anyhow...!

  • Best cover so far on this song 7/10 keep it up .

  • Great cover well done!!!

  • Nice cover on the acoustic Thankyou for posting

  • Very Nice! Well Done! Wish I could do it half as well!

  • Thanks KC. I did have a little help from myself tho'. Read the 'more info' part for how.

  • BEAUTIFUL ! One of the best covers of this song that I watch ! Yesterday and today I saw two amazing versions. This is one of them ! Congratulations ! BADFINGER 4ever !

    Muniz (bass)

  • Very Good!!! I've loved BadFinger since they were around in the 70's. You've done a great cover!! Thanks for sharing.

  • Well done!! Excellent cover, especially the way you belt out the vocals during the bridge starting at 2:00

  • Thanks Mike. It was your posting of their performance from the Rogers show that got me interested in doing the song. The song definitely reminds me of a specific time period in my life, which helps one play with a little more feeling. I hope more of their stuff finds its way onto YouTube. Thanks again.

  • Great job I like the acoustic guitar sound in this song.

  • This is by far the best "Baby Blue" cover I've come across! I dig the way you accompany yourself. Keep posting!

  • Thanks fuggle. By the way, I went to your site...I've removed bacon from my diet!

  • Your arteries will thank me.

  • Cheers, brother!

  • I am very impressed. Thanks for sharing your talents.

  • Hello from Hamburg.

I love Badfinger and all their songs.

You`ve done an excellent version of this song.

    I like it very much.

    Andi

  • Hi Andy. I love Hamburg. It's holy ground for any Beatle fan (Reperbahn, Star Club, etc.). I was there in 1984 and 1985 with my guitar and backpack. I did some "trampin". Like this song, just hearing from Andy from Hamburg brings me fond memories!!! All the best to you!!

  • Hello,I love Badfinger and all their songs and I can say, that you`ve done an EXELLENT version of this song.

    Best wishes from Hamburg

    Andy

  • Outstanding!

  • Coming from you, BadfingerFan, that means alot! Cheers!

  • Thanks for this rendition. Can you do Name of the Game or Day After Day from Badfinger?

  • I'm familiar with "Day After Day". I usually love Tom Evans' harmonies, but Day After Day was one song that I'm glad someone turned his knob down a bit. It's barely detectable, but at the end he's trying to harmonize with "Looking out on my lonely gloom..." and it doesn't work. It's there, but barely noticeable.

  • It's a shame how things turned out for them. I'm not sure but I think their contract had them being paid as "employees" (hourly wages)and the songwriter's share was probably diluted like they used to do to Little Richard (i.e., twenty-odd songwriters and Little Richard). Shameful. I guess that's the curse of creativity. It leaves a little to be desired in the business department. One exception may have been Walt Disney. He seemed to have good business sense and creativity. Not many like that

  • Thanks. It's a Yamaha F-180 (or 150 I'm not near it to check for sure). I've traveled the world with it and, although it's technically my 'thrasher', it's my absolute favorite of all my guitars.

  • Very nice! :)

What kind of guitar is that?
