I don't know about anyone else but this Bill wasn't too great I didn't think. I mean he's alright but Edward Mallory was the better Bill, he's who I think of when I think of Bill.
Well how about Mickey's recent funeral? Okay Alice was in poor health so they could'nt show her and the Bill's were dead, but to refer to Bill, Alice, and Marie as being in the other room the whole day and Sarah was "bringing the car around?" No mention of Jennifer, Mike or Laura, Lucas is leaving, now Alice is dead. There's not gonna be any Horton's left.
Very odd that TPTB don't have Maree Cheatham (SP?) return full-time as Marie (she was Marie #01 & #04). The show needs a Horton matriarch and MC has expressed her desire to return full-time.
@TRAVISJAMES03 Yeah, they should bring Marie back. They should feature Mickey more too. You NEVER see him. Maggie has taken over the Alice role the last couple of years. She's a more sassy matriarch.
John Clarke quit in 2004 to spend time with his family because he was not in the best of health. They tried to recast Mickey 3 times (Richard Voigts, John Ingle and Kevin Dobson). It was not well received. There is only one Mickey for the fans, so they finally killed the character off.
This could be Tony....When Tony was rescued off the island he said he had been there for 10 years. He returned in 2006-2007 so that means he would have been taken to the island in 1996-1997, this happended in 1994.
Days did a great job with this. Brought back characters and a lot of characters got to speak at the funeral. Nice tribute to the character and by extension, the actor.
What was great was that she hadn't appeared on the show in over 20 years, yet they brought her back. That was cool. If only they could have brought Ed Mallory back as Bill, instead of this failed recast.
I read where the cast talked about how hard this was to do. When MacDonald Cary passed away it was a sad day in Salem and the world. It was a nice touch to hear poetry added since Mr. Cary loved it so.
I remember when he and Calliope were going to the coffee place where they were doing poetry readings...and Alice was a bit jealous. LOL She never had to worry about Tom though...they were the loves of each other lives.
its sad that every funeral brings a new bill horton lol

If Marie returns, I hope they bring back Alex Marshall too. Their grandson Nick is part of the show, after all.

Tom Jr. wasn't there and neither was Addie (though she was killed in '74, so she wouldn't be).
