DO NOT LISTEN TO GAMESPOT!!! THIS GAME IS AMAZING!! I love it and I still play it all the time even though I beat it 3 times! Everyone should play this game! At the least, rent it!!! And yes, 3:43 is VERY much planned!

first of all the guy playing on the video suck, second of all, tomb raider is just like that, fall die and try again.... i think that almost all the plataformers are.

man i loved this game , its inovating, beaultifull, rly fun, and i found just one bug or 2.

Why is he stating that figuring out the best route to take is bad? isn't figuring things out part of every game? if mirrors edge is like one running track and all you have to do is run from point A to B then i bet no one would like it. The point of this game IMO is using this ramps, pipes and zipline to make you feel awesome, dun you feel awesome jumping over shit and punching guards in the balls? come on gamespot, dun say the game is bad because you can't string moves or find your way. GROW UP!

Gamespot was not the only reviewer that gave this an average rating, nearly everyone has. Its is not just about instant gratification or difficulty, people don't mind difficult games, remember Ninja Gaidan, Resident Evil, or Ikuraga? However, they don't want to feel like the game is being cheap in order to achieve a false sense of difficulty. Trail and error gameplay is an outdated gameplay mechanic, a game can be difficult and hardcore w/o it.

geez, downplay the game because you can't get the moves right every time? what a bunch of whiners. The reason why mirror's edge is so rewarding is because you do not always manage to get everything perfect. It only makes it all the more rewarding when you do. People want to be instantly gratified these days, they eant a sense of accomplishment with out actually doing anything. Thats whey the toomb raider franchise has gone "user friendly" and in my mind has taken a turn for the worse.
