Oh god what about the guy in the back recording this meeting is he gonna get cancer and diseases because of the video camera. So many people now a days see a video then believe it. What if someone made a video saying your more likely to die at 25 if you have an "s" in your name. Everyone reacts to things differently... Why... well because everyone is different. I think people should research things for themselves not watching someone else who tells them whats true and whats not.

The point is, don't drink pure water on an empty stomach.Because your local conman has been selling you Reverse Osmosis water does not mean it is in fact pure. It has to be independently tested. Distilled water may or may not be "pure". I wouldn't put "pure " water in any plastic container. It's a very aggressive solvent and would probably pull chemicals out of the plastic. Have a look at the excellent Wikipedia articles I posted links to earlier.

@cronicjointpain I have been doing research on drinking distilled water and the only negative I can find is the lack of minerals. I have spoken to individuals who have been drinking it for years now and they feel great. If it concerns you, then add mineral drops to your distilled water.. problem solved.. Distilled water is the only way to go now due to Fluoride, Pharmaceuticals, Chlorine & so many other contaminates. Some contaminates may even be carcinogenic...

I'm getting really tired of people posting "been drinking pure water for years and no ill effects". Unless they can say how pure the water is and had it independently assayed, they have almost certainly been getting scammed into believing they bought pure water. ok i have a few questions for you.

1. do you drink it everyday?

2. have you been drinking it for many years?

3. have you had any adverse reactions to it?

the reason i am asking this is because i want to know if it is safe to drink for long term consumption. there is so many lies about water, and i have yet to find any scientific study's proving it is safe for long term consumption, but i have also not found any that prove it is bad.

I drink a half gallon of distilled water per day every day for the last 3.5 years now and I feel awesome. I'm glad I don't drink fluoridated (poisoned) tap water anymore.

"Pure Water" is about the most dangerous thing you can drink. It does not exist in nature. People who drank it for an extended period of time ended up in hospital. Two of the most basic rules of biochemistry are "Water follows salt" and "salt follows water". When you drink purified water, it sucks all the mineral salts out of your blood stream. You need to drink mineralized water. Don't take my word for it ask a Nephrologist (Kidney specialist). This article is dangerous and ill-informed.

The human body is not designed to absorb and use minerals in metallic form. Mineral in mineral or tap water are all metals and not only unusable but dangerous to your body.

@ANIMALKISSING Thanks for your input. I can neither agree nor disagree as the term "organic" can have significantly different meanings. As a biochemist, we say something is organic if it is a chemical compound (a chemical combo of elements) containing carbon. There are few exceptions, eg CO2, but I won't get into that. People that believe in the "anything natural is good" idea typically use the word 'organic' to mean a product of living organisms. I'd have to ask you what you mean by organic ?

@ANIMALKISSING I might also add that ingesting certain minerals in their pure form, as metals, would not make you sick. You wouldn't have time to get sick. EG Sodium or Potassium EXPLODE violently on contact with water. You'd have to deliberately ingest pure metals from a laboratory because they are so reactive that they quickly combine with gasses in the air, water etc in nature. Purifying water to any degree (distillation, Reverse Osmosis) is dangerous. It does not exist in nature.

@ANIMALKISSING Adding mineral drops implies you put pure or nearly pure water in a container and add the drops. The problem is, in a blink of an eye, the purified water will have already leached any available chemicals from the plastic or glass and in some cases it may show a preference to those toxic chemicals over the mineral drops. We say pure water is polar, like a magnet and like a magnet it will combine with just about anything hence its reference "The Universal Solvent" ie chemical thief!

I want to distill some water purified by reverse osmosis to see If something is still left over. I doubt it.

This is incorrect, Wholly water as some people like to call it, can be made. It doesn't freeze because it doesn't have a nucleating point which will start the crystallizing process.

You need sterile lab conditions, a brand new, vacuum formed, NONE CONTAMINATOR PLASTIC bottle.

To test the purity of the water is simple, freeze it to 10 degrees lower than the waters normal freezing point, if the water is liquid, give it a shake violently, if it is still liquid, it is wholly water.

Fire kills about 25% of the nutrients. At the same time you can eat a lot more than 25% more cooked veggies than raw. I have also noticed (no offense) that many raw foodists are sooo judgemental. Which is precisely the emotional state of someone who has lost the heat element in their system! Nutritionists I trust have told me that many raw foodists start to get ill after their second winter in cold climates. Even the one's who are doing it 'right'. I think everything in balance.
