@djoiner22 it was Stopmotion pro software for the capture environment and magix pro for the edit environment, plus probably afew other bits-n-pieces I can't remember now, but those are the main two for that one.
@lillylie79 awsome, really good stuff man. I was about to use after effects and see how that works but Im making a stop motion film for a class and Ive been trying to figure out what software is better.
This is really nice work. Stop motion animation is a LOT of work. Kudos for putting in that kind of effort! I would think of Tool before NIN, but that's only because Adam Jones made so many stop motion videos for them. That's not really a reflection on you at all.
How?.....it is stopmotion animation, so you build a puppet and a set then point a locked camera at it and move things alittle at a time, take a picture and then run all the pictures together with software so it appears to move.....sorry if that sound patronizing I was'nt sure what you were asking.....if you ask why do it ? then thats a different thing altogether and to be honest I have no idea! LOL.
This was my choice of song to. It is great for stop frame animation and has alot of tension. I found your film very inspiring, I watched some short films in the whitchapel gallery, they influenced me now. Does the mirror reflect evil or create it?
Thanks. If you gaze too long in the mirror do you not become evil?. The mirror is the fixation, it shows only the superficial which is what the subject wishes to see, so the subject is blind to the deeper truth. The inspiration for the film was mainly my frustration with man's obsession with trying to control nature..something man thinks can be done, but its just the surface and you can put as many layers of human artifice on top as you like but nature will always break through in the end.
That was GREAT! Thanks for looking at my videos and leaving a comment, or I would have never found your wonderful eerie and beautiful films! Keep animating!
That's some sweet stop motion. You've made me appreciate this song a lot more through the interesting visuals. What's the woman made out of? And what kind of camera did you use?
Thankyou, how nice. The puppet is, like in all my films, of my own design. They are made from cotton...but the rest of their construction takes too long to explain!. As for the camera, it is just a decent sony digital, nothing magical
Wonderful work, excellent concept and even if there wasn't the music to go with it, it's a stand out. The music works really well with it, so, a blinder. Won't be wearing my corset in a while, that's for sure.
Wow.... Amazing.. im so glad to see it done and so happy it came out so good. I was nervous to watch it but It was not disappoiting...Wonderful use of cut shots as well as camera blurs to achieve the effects.. Was it edited mostly in camera or with an after market product. Good timing on the musik too. I very much enjoyed the concept of the multiple masks. Ohh and I need a machine that will lace up my corsets. Bravo miss. Now onto the next piece...
Thankyou Seth. It was edited in both the camera and software... ive always liked the practical challenge of working in camera. One of my biggest influences film wise, is *sunrise*...the in camera effects and forced perspective in that film are stunning....but you cant give me a whole digital box of tricks and not expect me to take delight in them.I mean i am a grade A geek!
