@Douglys Thank you VERY much ! ^_^ I don't use to do such 'live alone' covers anymore, but I'm happy that among those I did something from "TIME" by ELO. Shooting such simplified altought clever here and there type of videos can easily bring haters comment about the static nature of the visuals. Now I use backing tracks that sound good with vocals recorded near the microphone and with videos shot later. It's not easy to find good backing tracks, but I hope to make new ELO covers in the future ;)

Thanks ! About the harmony, yes, that part is not hard, but I hadn't plan more than just one layer of voice recording for this cover, and I think that harmony is better with more than one loud voice ... so I left that to original ELO instead ^_^

Thanks! I realized it removing vocals from the original file with the Audacity program. It's free and easy to use, but it doesn't work with all the songs and it doesn't sound as perfect as a real instrumental version. You can check out tutorials on youtube ... I learned how to do from them.

i'm petty sure you did it with audacity. what i meant was how. what steps did you took to make it happened?

Basically you have to split the stereo channels of your wave file, apply the effect 'invert' on one of the two and then recombine the channels. This will erase the parts that are indentical in the center of the speakers, usually the vocals themselves.

This trick doesn't work all the times.

YouTube have a lot of well-done tutorials about the operation step by step; just check out ;-) Remove Vocals with Audacity. Easy and fast, but you got to be a little lucky !
