I enjoyed your honest appraisal of the Hornby Jinty 3F. Your enthusiasm for this wee ehgine was obvious and your explaination of the meaning of the lettering on the side of the engine was appreciated. Thanks for your video!
Please tell me if there is a BR version of this loco, I would like one for my model railway, to shunt some wagons around my 3-siding goods yard and maybe pull the occasional train around the layout.
@captainkmanOFP857 Good question - unfortunately though Hornby doesn't make a BR version of a Jinty 3F any more it seems - most places appear to be "out of stock". However, there are three possible things you could do to get a BR Jinty! 1. Buy the Bachmann one - they always seem very good-quality locomotives and the detail is fantastic, 2. Look on eBay for an old Hornby Jinty 3F in BR Black, or even 3. Buy this one and paint it! Hope that helps - any more queries please don't hesitate to ask! =)
@BristolSpotterHD Hi, and thanks for the Comment! On this one, it has no traction tyre (?) and only stalls about once every 5 minutes or so, but again that's probably down to my usually-dirty track - the motor might need improving, granted, but it's certainly far better than the 2012 Olympic Bullet Train - that has definately got to take the place of Hornby's worst ever model!

@Rabbitbunvoo
Thanks for that. I did some research, and found a Bachmann 3F in BR livery on E-bay for around $80 AUD, including postage and handling..

worst hornby model ever :)
only thing that lets it down is rubish motor and tractor tire which causes it to stall over points ;)
