Registering the vehicle just means you are giving the state the right to your property! You pay sales tax after you buy the car, pay a title fee to give the state proof of ownership, pay a gas tax every time you fill up to use the public roads, and pay an income tax. (which I'm sure goes to transpiration) tell me again how its not a 5th amendment violation, forcefully giving the state the right to your property?
No, the problem is that they were illegal Mexicans, and illegal Mexicans do not register their vehicles and nor do they have car insurance. But here in California it is very, very easy to get a California drivers license if you are an illegal Mexican.
I guess you don't live in California and have no idea what's going on. It is a common problem here. Also, look at the video, the people driving the car with the expired tags are Mexican.

@pulloutsange While I don't have a problem with registering a vehicle, it doesn't take nearly as much as they gouge you for to actually run the DMV--only about $30 to $50 a year per vehicle. Everything over that is just money the State takes simply because it can. It's called a "car tax" and yeah, it is BS.
