No, you only need 1000gs of the now avaliable 1750. Sometimes when you get the new achievemants it does not unlock fight away, just keep getting achievements and it'll unlock. I didn't get mine intil like 1100 gs on halo.
you need to get every achievement all the skulls & complete halo campaign on legendary.. you only need the achievements for the katana but it's not normal looking without the fucking hayabusa armour -.-
