Because the Resident evil version wasn't the original C96, it's called the Red 9 because the Red 9 fires 9 mm instead of the standard 7.63 x 25 mm Mauser round.

You *astard! I had the Marui version of this and could never get it to work. Due to the weedy import laws, you could not get the PFC caps sent to the UK. We had to make our own. Great fun to see it work!
