Ah, small problem - there would not have been any Overwatch or Soldiers during the 7 hours war, they were forced into existence much later on. There would only have been the Striders and Gunships (and a few zombies after a while).

@jonship In Raising the Bar book you can find information about some other units which were used by the combine in 7 hour war.Those units were powerful enough to destroy human military just for 7 hours, so synths (gunships/striders) were build in citadels after Combine captured Earth. "Portal Storms" also did serious damage to human infrastructure ,sea/ocean/road transportation collapsed, it was no longer safe to live in small towns, people moved in large cities.

This is a great video BUT as a Half-Life fan I have to remind everybody that there was no Citadel, Civil Protection or hunter choppers during the Seven Hour War because all these were created as part of the Combine occupation of Earth.

The amazing amount of machinima generated in the Half Life universe is a testament to the influence of the Half Life games on the entire gaming scene. Considering this , its shamefull that Valve has not continued the story with either episode 3 or Half Life three and is content to let the plot and the games gather dust.

Combine could not have any CP units during the war(as well as any human, trans-human and earth machinery forces), CP was established in the period of ~20 years after the war. Also, Combine does not have any propaganda excluding Breencast and few sprayed logos(although there were posters out on streets in the alfa stage of the script) which could not just appear everywhere in the span of 7 hours. But overall, nice video :D

@Refref1990 Grazie! Allora inizialmente anche io utilizzavo il gmod ma i personaggi, così facendo, risultano piatti (i combine ed i fastzombie sono fatti così). E' una faticaccia cercare di muovere manualmente i filmati del gmod in modo da farli sembrare 3d.

Successivamente invece ho utilizzato dei veri e propri modelli 3d (gli headcrab ed i formicaleone. Anche lo strider mi sembra). Li ho messi nel video con tracciatura 3d delle immagini.

Penso che più in la farò un makingof così chiarisco ;)

@AsylumVFX ah infatti, perché effettivamente gli headcrab e i formicaleoni sono fatti benissimo rispetto agli altri, a livello grafico sono più realistici, e seguono perfettamente il terreno su cui sono adagiati!!! :) Cmq ok aspetto il making off!! @phismsy Grazie mille! La formica leone e gli headcrab sono stati i primi video con rendering di 3d studio max! Infatti ombre e luci seguono la luce del video reale! Purtroppo per i video precedenti non abbiamo usato il "vero" 3D dato che..... ancora non sapevamo come fare XD

P.s Ho visto che giochi a Left 4 Dead. Avevamo in mente di girare qualcosa nel mondo di left 4 dead ma ancora niente di sicuro ;)
