The “Music” of David Byrne is extremely annoying & unattractive! It has NO! heart, it is sterile & cold, in short: it is garbage just like the movie “Wallstreet II”. Take an awful soundtrack (littered with the crap from Bryne), a lame story, an aged leftist movie director & an ugly actress (Carey-Mulligan) for the female leading part & you have what I call: a C-movie dressed up as an A-movie which one could be sold only to the gullible leftist/liberal scumbags & they so deserve that trash!
@Smurfit60: who ever likes the music from david byrne, especially the song "home" also eats little babies! The music of david byrne is for soziopaths and therefore it fits perfectly to the movie wallstreet 2, which is also garbage dressed up as intelligent cinema/entertainment. I can not even express how much I hate these arty-farty filth. I bet David Byrne does support pal-arab terrorists, promotes the palestinian lie & hates Israel. I'm glad I hate his music, so no interest conflict for me!
@SupernaturalXtreme Maybe it's me but with the kind of hatred you express here, you seem quite capable of gunning down dozens of innocent people who are out on a picknic...
@SupernaturalXtreme And is-ra-el isn't as much a legal fiction as palestine is? lol your both fictitious entities liviing a lie. In other words your both corporations. that's why you are an "Ish"( approximation) and not the real thing...connecting yourself to some made-up by-bill(bible- william shakespear INC.)and some torah nonsense...
what a joke...and i (9) won't even address the circular pseudo-intellectual crap you typed down below.
@themixscientist: u r saying israel is a fiction? What do u mean by that, that israel did not exists since over 3000 years? pls let me know if you think that and maybe even why. BTW if u think u could make me mad by getting personal, well, if thats ur goal, than ur real intentions r pretty obvious. I suggest u stay on the facts and dont go into any emotional things again, that shows only ur weakness & instability. however, bring me some fcats, not just some random opinion.
@SupernaturalXtreme I usually don't comment on youtube but you are such an idiot. You deserve some shrapnel from an Iraeli or Palestinian bomb. Doesn't matter which, just get into some asap.
@themixscientist: I almost forgot, I never claimed that I'm an intellectual, so where u getting the "circular pseudo-intellectual crap" since someone has to assert a claim of intellectuality, but i did not & nobody else did either, ergo u make no sense. Further ur nickname tells me that must be proud of ur intellectuality, but thats nonsense. taking pride in intellectuality is the same as taking pride in being tall, because both is genetic, it cant be achieved, ergo u cant take credit for it!
Great song! Too bad the movie (Wall Street 2) wasn't great though. Oliver Stone completely took the balls away from Michael Douglas character when he should have made him more aggressive, more interesting. What a shame. Anyway, killer tune!!!
i heard this song in the movie "wallstreet" but i think it was diferent, like slower or something. If anybody know the version y mean or if its the same one let me know ;)
He was in a concert where i live and he sang his new album, but sadly Eno wasn't there.
and exactly one week after the consert we bought a house, so every time we go there my wife always puts this song, she wont let me drive home without listening to this song!
Never heard this before and i'm a Byrne fanatic. Parts kinda reminded me of Byrne doing "Ain't got so far to go", from "Future Soundtrack for America". Thanks for the post. 5* Have a great day!

I like it, but the chorus kinda seems like a slo mo version rip off of "Homeward Bound" by Paul Simon.
tsrun527 2 years ago
I think that beyond the words the chorus isnt not that similar, though other parts of the song are vaguely similar to "The Sound of Silence"
