@fredtroy8 yep, this was my first attempt at doing any kind of special effects, look for my newer ones, I do improve. Check out Alien Parkour or, Assassin at Work. Those are better, not perfect, but I'm getting there.

@ExplodingPunch , you are correct on the effect, but it was my first foray into special effects. I've been working on some new stuff though, continuing to expand my knowledge. I find that the keying isn't perfect , and after doing cropping etc. I find lots of noise in the end result. Anyway to clean that up?
@MrSurfsAlot , I may create a tutorial for this , but in essence, what you want to do is use the keyer and transform tools. I'll see if I get a tutorial posted real soon, otherwise, a search for final cut special effects will help.

this is a decapitation effect from detonation film , not a shot effect , use the one call redmist it is pre-keyed a just perfect for small gun shots
