Plenty of artists produce, co-produce or are credited on the tracks that people use their original samples for, so do in fact recieve royalties.

this is nice... youtube is like having the worlds dopest record collection at my fingertips, i can find rare classics in seconds compared to months and years diggin at the record stores that dont exist anymore

@dOLOSTIMULUS I got this from digging at record shops a couple years ago, it came out on a french soundtrack for the 60's. i beleive this is a reissue of the 45 and goes for 77 bones on discogs. Record shops do exist and it doesn't take months or years, it just takes alot of footwork and knowledge of what to buy, instead of typing in something like "funk" in a search engine and BAM. Cheers, and it is nice that a least there is exposure for this kind of music. library production music.
