  • you should share your spot because there fellow riders to..share the sport man

  • @longboardoriginal41 You don't understand... Lets say you have a piece of cake... All of a sudden people want pieces of your cake, but you don't want to give it away because it tastes so god damned good... All of a sudden, someone says "Hey! He's giving pieces of his cake away!" People start to come over and take pieces of your cake. You don't have any cake left. You really liked that cake too. Damn. Too bad you don't have any of that cake left because other people took all of it.

  • I drove through Harvard for an hour looking for this spot :) can I get the street name. Send it in a message if your willing to give the name away. I'm not a trashy longboarder I'm 18 and I love to longboard. Responsibly.

  • I like Longboarding. I don't know what this whole "Downhill skateboarding" is.

  • @pichirisu It's where people riding longboards (which are skateboards) go fast down hills.

  • @OpManifesto Longboards are amazing, what's downhill skateboarding?

  • whats the name of the street that this hill is on? share the stoke bitch

  • @Masterscully93 stop being a faggio, if you wanna skate rad spots go out and meet locals instead of trolling all over the internet.

these hills are rad and are already attracting a ton of heat, so the last thing Russ wants to do is go sharing all the names of his spots online. Go out and find rad hills yourself or come meet skaters

  • @Masterscully93 This hill is like 2 minutes from my parents' house. It's my local. If you can't respect that, you're not somebody I ever want to meet.

  • That is killer ! That place looks smooth and total sickness !

  • Sup man i have to decide between the Avenger and the Landy's Wolfshark, im starting DH but still wana freeride alot, which do you recommend?

  • @Supertotallyawesom i've never used the wolfshark but i do own a rayne avenger and believe me it's just an incredible board for DH/freeride! its just perfect, the W, the sharp edged, the wheel space on the board...everything! 2 big differences are the sharp edges (wolfshark has gas pedals) and that the wolfshark doesn't has the pleassure dome which im totally in love and if you plan taking some serious speed believe me it will help y a lot.

  • @Supertotallyawesom Avenger. Longer wheelbase means more slidey-ness. The Wolfshark IMO is way too short.

  • @Endlessdonut97 in what universe does a longer wheelbase mean more 'slidey-ness'?

  • @angushorsburgh A longer wheelbase is will have less grip because it'll be harder for the rider to place their weight evenly when cornering. A longer wheelbase also means you will have less turn out of the truck, resulting in a earlier "truck lock-up" (when the truck stops turning consistantly)

  • @Endlessdonut97 I stand corrected, I was talking more about the ease of breaking out into a slide, where a shorter wheelbase can be easier to manoeuver.

  • @angushorsburgh Well, what I said was based on theory. It's mainly about the rider and leg strength when pushing out a slide.

  • WHAT STREET (S) IS THAT!!!

  • @HoopsProductions123 These are our hills that we have been lucky enough to be able to ride in our hometown for years. I've been deleting the comments that have answered your question. Sorry bud. We can't afford to have these spots blown, and they are already getting a ton of heat.

  • @savesilence I understand :) Keep Shredding!

  • lol 1:14 did she say ''genital''?

  • what the frack is this song

  • This looks like a magical land.

  • yo sick spot

  • harvards team sucks. AND DAMMIT! since when did so many lb videos use this song?? i guess im not the ony one

  • @CaliMadeMan Not really. 35 degree plates lean a lot more, because you are exerting leverage more in line with the kingpin. The have less turn per that lean, however. A 50 degree plate will lean less, meaning you need softer bushings to get the same amount of lean, but will give more turn per lean. An angle of 45* will give you a 1:1 ratio between turn and lean. Currently my favorite DH angle.

  • If i put Randall 35' baseplate on my Paris 180', will it still be good to slide while DHing ? Or should i put 42' baseplates for more carving ?

  • @mrPACarrier Personally, I would leave them with 50*, but if you want a more lean-y ride, 42* could be what you like. Don't use 35*, unless you are only putting it on the back truck. That is a very lean-y angle.

  • @savesilence Hey! What's your opinion on that avenger? How does it feel around turns? I'm kinda tempted to get one!

  • @connerturnbull I don't really like the W concave. The tub is also really steep. These days I ride a Comet Voodoo Doll. Concave is much more mellow, the wheelbase is shorter, and the rocker keeps you locked in. If Earthwing releases a carbon version of the Bellyracer as anticipated, I'll be riding that.

  • @savesilence is the comet as stable as the avenger at high speeds

  • @caseyaz100 Definitely. The stability is in you. They are just both topmount speedboards. Feel pretty similar.

  • Nice vid, and Massive Attack is teh poop.

  • u r a retard u went like 30 tops if u wanna see 50 look at the blue suit bombers bombing claremont they go about 55 reatard

  • @TheBitchonperiod Ahh you're so funny! I wish more people could be funny like you! I've ridden Claremont. I know what 50 is. Believe it or not, the wide angle lenses of GoPros make things look much, much faster.

  • @TheBitchonperiod claremont looked faster also because it was a follow shot. this one was still shot.

  • The avenger is a great deck. I dont do speed riding much but slides are great with the W concave

  • 1:48

    i think there you got 50mph ?! :)

  • @TheLongBoardBoy Yep, just barely. That right hander is so gnarly at that speed.

  • song?

  • have u ever been down wachusette mt road its sick i live in worcester

  • Excellent video and great camera angles. Could you do a review of your board and set up? I'd like a closer look at it.

  • @SBNMario I no longer ride that setup. I was riding such a low back angle because I was coming from slalom. I slowly raised it, until it's now at 40* rear, 50* front. Low back angles make it harder to predrift. Plus, I now ride a Fullbag Elise, which give me much more leverage, and lets me run looser trucks, much more slalom-like.

  • @savesilence I see I see. How about a closer look at your new setup. I'm a visual person... I can't read something I have to see it with my eyes to fully understand. If you don't have time it's cool. I'm not demanding it or anything.

  • wuts the song

  • i live in Ayer, what road is that?

  • i live in boxboro at the other end of that road i forget the name of it but i know how to get there also if you know where the observatory is in harvard there is an honest 10 minute ride hualin ass down from there only issue is there are like2 or 3 intersections also if you know littleton at all there is a sick back road just after the post office on the left huge hill... but there are usuallty a ton of cycleists. any way ill skate out there tomorrow and get the name of the street for u

  • what is the name of this street?

  • wow i live in Berlin and I wish i had that sick Hills. btw awesome video.

  • @sagasa456 ...you do... back roads behind the mall there is long ass ride from almost northboro directly into clinton, which if you have not checked out,the town of clinton is like a quasar of rad hills by the dam and from the center and by the golf course

  • @egorevonzombie

lulz this was a missunderstanding , i live in Berlin , Germany ^^ and we have only one hill here that was createt from the rest of the houses destroyed in ww2 (the devils hill)

  • where did you get 21* baseplates? or is it just wedged.

  • @EnjoiEmerica11 Wedged from the Randal 28*.

  • nic vid

  • naw but when i find some good spots lets totally skate like not trying to sound creepy but i have no one who skates around me and ur alot better than i am so ill learn from u

  • i live in poughkipsie ny so like 3 hours from the city i need people to dh with soo bad haha i know no one who dowhills or longboards around me im soo lonly skateing alone

  • @pdubs926 Well I live in NYC. If you know any sweet spots, we should skate them.

  • @savesilence not really i mean i started skateing here in france a few years ago so not yet but i will my moms super freaked out about dh like i wanna hit up a spot here and shes like ok but i want to c it im like wtf mom o wate now im grounded. o and i have to pay for all my bandagese so idk if im gonna be dh as much im getting leathers

  • we need to make a video like this just even sicker when you're home. i'm ready for some 50 mph dude, west bare looks like a blast i just scoped it out today

  • @emgeemann I feel that man. I'll bring my camera.

  • cool..opening theme song from house. :P

  • 50mph on an avenger..? gnarly. didnt see it in the video though:/ also how was the angle difference in your trucks?? did you use a riser to level the board out or ride it with a dropped tail?

  • @joeNEWcore 1/4 riser levels the board. I'm used to the angle difference because slalom is my main discipline. The only downside is that it drifts a little funny, being so biased towards the front. There is a 50mph shot at 1:48, clocked by GPS. The camera makes it hard to judge speed, but if you watch again, I'm sure you'll notice how much faster that shot is than all of the others. Sorry if I already posted this, could've sworn I did, but I don't see it.

  • @savesilence fair play mate, its a good video. i wish i had the camera/people/time/effort to make one like this, all i have is movie maker and a lame camera. all my money goes on wheels :/

  • hey does is the w concave helpful or weird? and i'm not sure if you have ridden the avenger with 75mm wheels but would it get wheelbite?

  • @gn8771 yeah with the avenger, stick with 70 mm wheels. and the w really locks you in for DH or sliding. its great. but its not the best if you're pushing everywhere.

  • @turdboyproductions oh thanks man. any bushing setup suggestions for DH on 50 degree randalls with the avenger?

  • @gn8771 yeah i would go with venom DH bouble barrel bushings. the duro depend on your weight but im running yellow and red barrels and im 170 pounds

  • @turdboyproductions thanks. i ordered my avenger sunday and got the 42 randals instead of the 50's and i chose 90a boardside and 87a roadside for the bushings. lime zigs. i weigh 150 so we'll see how that works out. i'm so stoked for it to come

  • @gn8771 sounds like a perfect setup too. ride it hard

  • @gn8771 You can get away with 75mm if you use eliminator bushings, or with a little riser.

  • @savesilence hmm but not with the barrels? i'm out of money as it is haha. but thanks for the info. maybe in the future i'll see about workin that out.

  • How do those stims hold up at those speeds? Not too slidey/driftey? I'm looking at some downhill wheels that can also slide nice... Do you recommend these?

  • @vo1tr0n They hold up fine, but honestly, I don't really like them. I guess it's easier to break traction with them, but to me they don't feel as nice as 4prez. and believe me man, 4prez will slide. Just look at James Kelly. He doesn't really like the stims either.

  • @savesilence Ok thanks man. I was considering the 4prez. Probably gonna go with the purp...

  • @vo1tr0n i really like the way they slide. real smooth, clean hookups, and they still grip well at decently fast speeds. BUT they got all fucked up real fast. i rotated them after like maybe two weeks and there is major coning and at least one wheel vibrates from flat spots

  • this is a good video. Don't really see much action out of Massachusetts but its nice to see a video out of my home state. The video was good it looked like you got progressively better as the vid went on. Nice job. i liked it alot. Thumbs up.

  • @noobkid320 I think it was more that the hills got progressively bigger. This was all filmed on the same day ; P

  • @savesilence that works too. Haha

  • Freaking cookin' dude... keep up the good work.

  • How is the avenger for slides?

  • @longborederA It has really nice concave that keeps you super locked in, and the W is great for toeside slides. If highspeed downhill sliding is what you're into, it's a great deck.

  • can you ride this board switch?

  • @turdboyproductions if you ride it with symmetrical trucks, sure.

  • @longborederA kyle chin uses this deck in a vid for doin big stand up slides and like savesilence said, it keeps you locked in really well with the pleasure dome it's got.

  • how is the avenger for carving because i wanna do both downhill and carving and how flexible is it I'm not a huge fan of flex but a little is ok

  • @Mrlacez It's a speedboard, and thus has absolutely no flex. Which is kind of the whole idea.

  • ok awsome thanks man

  • @savesilence so not a good carver?

  • @SuperChevy446 I guess not. Depends on whether or not you like flex. Most people consider carvers to be more Loaded-ish and flexible like a wet noodle.

  • I have been debating on getting either the Avenger or Hellcat by Rayne, and weighing out which one I think I would like better for almost a week now.

I'm worried about the W concave on the Avenger.

Does it feel weird or is it ever awkward when riding?

  • @Glitch2000 Don't worry about it. It's one of the main reasons I still ride this board. It's not prominent enough to bother you, but it really makes a difference in keeping the board under your feet during toe-side drifts.

  • what camera are you using?

  • Sanyo Xacti HD1010. It's decent, but has horrible stabilization. You have to use pretty much nothing to still shots on a tripod.

  • hey man how do some dude up there asked how they grip right now im looking at i heats 83a for a dervish would i be able to ride these cuz i want alot of grip for hard carving in stuff but how well do these grip there harder so a lil more slidey ?

  • I would definitely go with the freerides. They grip much harder than you might think; you'll have no problem carving. You'll just find sliding tricks to be much easier.

  • how is the grip on these wheels?

  • They grip a lot harder than you'd think while watching the Loaded guys ride them. If you're not concerned with holding a line, and getting down the hill super fast, I recommend them. They're much more fun than a grippy wheel when you're just chillin.

  • great stuff. love it.

  • look like some mad fun roads dude. getting my yellow stims tomorrow, im pumped!

  • was that the song for the opening of House?

  • @joshmaster75 Yes it was, in an edited form.

  • don't worry DBS, I got your back.

  • nicee im lovin it.

  • good spot nice rideing

  • i bet my bike is still faster

  • @deathbysexy456 haha someone gave you a thumbs down. I'll race you down West Bare this summer.
