yeah, I wonder too. It seems the guy was very well advised: the half million was spread over 39 banks, so I think the largest individual "fraud" is for some 30,000 euro (this is less than peanuts for a bank!). He knows he can be sentenced to 4-8 years in jail, but banks may prefer to ignore the guy rather than giving him more time on TV by pressing charges against him (so far only a couple of them did). I think serious trouble would start if other people imitated him in many countries.

yeah, this guy is incredibly calm and brilliant, i only met him once in one of his talks in the towns around Barcelona... he is extremely well articulated, and his "aurea" and speech strongly conveys a feeling of radical opposition & non-violence at the same time. The very first day, the Spanish media were caught by surprise and discussed the case. The 2nd day, not one more word (usual filters started to operate). I hope the case gets to be spread and discussed among activists outside Spain too.
