Jesus not says drink poison if you are a true believer. Although there are saints who suffered too much to prove their faith - like Francis of Assisi that suffers of stigmata.- ; some that die in the name of christ, for example in actual China.

The audience present at the time were ONLY the apostles. Thus Jesus was talking about whether the apostles truly had faith in him. As history is recorded in the bible their faith is to die for. That is they all died a martrys death being stoned or hung while still praying for their enemies. Thus the true believers are the apostles and many others. Zakir always distorts the context. Some Muslims will tell you that Allah is the same as the Christian Yahweh God (not Jesus, Jesus said the Father was greater than He and Jesus was a created being), but he is not because Allah tells to indulge in their carnal fleshly nature (several virgins for a martyr, jihad etc.) and Yahweh God of the Bible says to PUT OFF the fleshly carnal ways that come natural to us and WALK IN THE SPIRIT, NOT AFTER THE FLESH ! I belive that this is not the way Prophet has taught us to preach Islam. Prophet was a role model to the people and thats was the way how he attracted and invited people to Islam

No actually the way he does is fine, since he doesn't attack dr. William Cambell. He's merely making Dawah, which his whole point, the sarcasm is obvious when the fact is revealed. So there's nothing wrong really.

I'm a Muslim. I have very less knowledge about Islam when compared to DR. Zakir Naik. I may be wrong but I feel he is sarcastic through his speech. I feel like as if he is competing with the opponent rather helping(with respect) others understand the truth. Prophet Muhammed(SAW) has taught us to respect other religion. The way DR. Naik speaks and the way the audience behave(shouting,clapping,laughing), would defenitely hurt a non-muslim. I belive that this is not the way Prophet has taught us to

It's not hateful or sarcastic. Thing is, he provides full logic as to why what is said in the Qur'an is the truth. And Allah has asked us to argue with the non-believers int he way that is most just and appropriate. Maybe it's just you, I don't feel he's being sarcastic. I feel he is being logical and stating find.
