She looks so beautiful on this album cover. This was the ealry days of urban gospel. The music was so pure and spiritual back then. Now, a lot of the gospel and christian music sounds contrived and doesn't sound geniune or authentic.
I move my mammie, I would listen to her for HOURS as a child.. She has a FABULOUS spirit. She is and has always been a lady!!! Thank you Tramaine for being Tramaine..
These are the gospel songs that spoke to our spirit as well as our experiences in life. I am moving to bring this genre of gospel music back into the mainstream of recorded music. We must get back to true gospel music that will stand up to ecclesastical review and bring, hope, encouragement as well as redemption. It's time to get the devil's church music out of the church.
I've never seen anyone as classy as Tramaine and the rest of the Hawkins clan. And HAPPY to sing...they were all teeth (of course you know they didnt feel like smiling all the time) but they were professional, talented, gracious and just anointed. Lord, they were a class act!!!
i always thought Tramaine was the most beautiful Black Woman I had ever saw. Her beautiful dark skin was flawless. She will always be my FIRST LADY OF GOSPEL.
@47antony Yes and even today I saw her recently on TV and her skin looked as beautiful as ever. You know, we really didn't realize what a marvelous time we were in when Gospel was like this. These were the early days of "contemporary" gospel and record companies became interested in the genre. Andrae Crouch, Jessy Dixon, The Hawkins, Donn Thomas, The Clarks, Daryl Coley, all of the great Choirs, that 70's/80's era was the absolute best.
