  • Can a person under 21 here in the USA legally buy all the ingrediants without actually buying any banned alcohol products (for those under 21) and make beer and make it have alcohol contents? Can you turn food and stuff that has no alcohol into beer than suddenly has alcohol in it?

  • Yes they can

  • as long as you have the cash for supplies than anyone can buy it. I have purchased all kinds of ingredients and supplies for making beer and have never had an issue with age. As long as your not stupid about it it'll work out just fine

  • @tatomuck18 lmao... Ifeel sorry for you youngsters in America. In the Uk we can buy alcohol from the age of 18 and in Greece where I was born wI could buy alcohol from the age of like 12

  • hey guys!

I've read somewhere that in anciant times nomadic people, but as good as I remeber also in Scandinavia beer was made of honey.

I am looking for honey-beer on the net, have not found anything, it is not honey flavoured beer that I am looking for, but real HONEYBEER...

does someone know anything about it ???

How to brew it, or where to buy some ?

  • I think what you're thinking of is mead. It should be available somewhere - I've never looked for it.

  • Honey is added to many beers, to increase alcohol content. Water + Honey = Mead, as was stated previously.

  • i tryed this my self i have many other methods but this is definetly a great beer! i made my self some it was delicious thanks for the tips and nice vid

    !

  • beer was made 9,000 year ago in egypt

  • research on noah's ark. OMFG are you joking? Oh you must be some frikin right wing stupid american christian.

  • from research, it shows that there was beer on noahs ark and thats actually what thay mostly drank(even the animals)

  • how to make meth? ok, first you get a chizel, then you find an old rusted pipe, then scrape the surface shit into a bag and sell it for a hundred bucks.

Does anyone know the name of device that keeps a liquid at a certain temperature controlled by a thermostat? water bath? bain marie? important for fermentation.

  • beer is all a person ever needs. anything more is death!

  • Hit me up, I'll take your instructions.

  • hmmm... it's easier to grow psilocybe cubensis, so i guess i'll just stick with those

  • isnt this illegal?

  • no you can by beer making kits that is just add the powder and yest to the water adn let it ferment for a while

  • President Jimmy Carter passed a bill in 1979 that made home brewing legal.

  • WHAT THE HELL! are u making a womans drink? why would u put chocolate in a beer!

  • n00b... chocolate stout is strong, no "womans drink" by any means unless your woman likes her beer the same how she likes her men. try bell's special double cream.

  • ooooohhhhhDoublw.yummmmmmm

  • I am getting mixed messages. The Home Wine & Beer Trade Assn. and other sources say to add Gypsum to decrease the acidity of the mash, yet here he says he adds it to increase the acidity. Who's right?

  • Oh, I think I got it now. Adding Gypsum does increase the acidity of the mash, and conversely the PH level decreases. In other words, the higher acidity the lower the PH level, and you may need to add calcium carbonate to raise the PH. Or, am I wrong?

  • Yeah thats right. Ph=7 is neutral (i.e. distilled water) Anything lower than 7 and you have an acidic solution. Anything higher than 7 and you have a basic solution.

  • Talk about over complicating things.

  • It's so easy once you have done it, i find this as a review.

  • It's really easy. This did overcomplicate it a good bit.

  • 1 MONTH!!?? Im going to the bottle-o.

  • A fan of Unibroue I see. Good choice my friend!

  • I'd rather hit the bar.

  • too hard for a drunk

  • too complicated

  • you can use 5% distilled vinegar to lower ph and baking soda to raise it, much easier and safer to find.

  • LMAO :54

  • There is simpler ways to make it but this is probably a excellent tasting brew.

  • yeah this looks complicated

  • I never buy beer anymore!

  • to hard lol

    i rather buy it

  • This is Brian the beer brewer in the video. Thanks for all of your comments. If you want to find out more about my process please do message me and I'll answer any questions. Also please do check out the other four parts of the video on the waterball page.

  • im a brewer .. trust me never ever put rum vodka anywhere near your beer .. jeeez thats he stupidest thing ive ever heard

  • why do you have to be so gay while you explain how you do it.

  • Its also wise to put rum or vodka in your fermenting cap so that there is 0% chance that there will be an infection...

  • hmm . . it looked liike he dumped shit out on the ground from it

  • Why the dance? Is it needed for brewing?

  • yes lol ahah

  • This was very informative. Keep up the good work

  • god all the little freaks need to quit whining about the price. This is a hobby, not a I can brew the cheapest way possible how-to. It enables you brew real beer, and not sissy beer like a lot of the little children that post drink. That being said 1 good beer to every 4 of the crap.

  • My girlfriend told me that she knew someone who made their own beer. These people made beer for years. One year a couple years ago the guy got sick. I cant remember what she told me he got but its incurable and he has to get shots all the time as it causes diahrea. Beleive it this guy has diahrea at all times. Anyways it had something to do with a parasite that grows in his stomache.

  • You cannot get parasites from a home brewed beer. Undercooked pork yes, but nothing in the beer would support a parasite. There is a type of illness nicknamed beaver fever you get from drinking unpurified water, but unless he was making it from river water, it is unlikely that he got it from the beer.

  • kickass man i don't care what anybody else thinks

  • To get beer, go to local bottle shop, get 6 pack and pay shop person. Dont have to wait months. Just drink...

    Great vids dude..

  • I suspect that brewing your own beer is more expensive than buying quality beer, like making your own bread, ever bake your own whole wheat bread? Can't do it for $3 a loaf. But if you love beer, old world style full bodied beer, then cost doesn't matter when you make it the way YOU like it. Right?

  • I can make a half barrel (15.5)gallons of high quality beer (IPA,Russian Imperial, etc) for about $65.00. Do the math, 1,984 fl.oz./22oz beer = 90 22oz beers. $65 / 90 = $0.72 per 22oz of beer. Even Sam Adams is 3 bucks a bottle. How does flour, yeast, sugar and water come out to more than 3 dollars?

  • guess i'm shopping the wrong place for my bread ingredients. the health/whole foods store is ripping me off, huh?

  • Yup. Cheers

  • sam adams isnt 3 bucks a bottle, get your face checked

  • Oh shit! My bad!! a 22oz bottle is $2.99! What the fuck do you think i was talking about? What a douche bag.

  • maybe thats what it costs you at the gay bar, but its a lot cheaper in Straightville

  • Maybe your momma got the wrong idea due to the severe ass pounding i gave her...However, rest assured, I'm strait..pass that along to her son, I figure she's worried.

  • who are you trying to fool with this sam adams talk anyway? the only thing you drink from sam adams is his ball gravy when you're enjoying your favorite meal of tube steak, extra rare

  • Depends where you are. Here in Japan 3 bucks is a decent price for Sam Adams.

  • Thank you so much waterball, for making it a positive 100% chance that i'll have no future! Oh well, I'll look at the brightside.. now when I puke in english class I have somebody to blame it on.

  • yeh good vis, let me just go get my heavy duty thermometer and large fermenter...

  • ya if your 2 cheap to buy beer than you shouldn't drink at all. all hope you all go blind trying to make your own beer.

  • You go blind with hard liquor you make on your own not beer.

  • Making your own beer, wine or whatever, more often comes from a creative mind set, not a sign of being cheap, considering all the equipment and supplies you need. It just a fun thing.

  • This is brewing, not to be confused with distilling. It's an easy mistake to make if you haven't researched the subject. The main difference being the alcohol content, brewing only gives you 18% max (that's all the yeast can tolerate) while distilling can yield up to 95%.

  • To all,.. If ur gonna use a burner go the whole nine yards an make your mash and distile it down for some good ol' white lightnin'!! It is still elegal in this country but HEY! Otherwise the corner store has my brand! "This BRIAN IS FOR YOU! Kudos!

  • only illegal if you get caught LOL

  • and thats why you look like a grub. your too cheap to buy GOOD shit

  • when u were showing something i saw a crayon bix in ur fridge lol!!

  • guys please help a NAVY VET out... I wanna know how to brew bad and want to know how to record the whole brew process to my hard drive... i am not trying to steal... if this process is on dvd i will buy it.. help an old NAVY drunk out will ya?

  • You can buy the full DVD from Google Base. Just search for chocolate stout!

  • Don't waste your money on this DVD. Just get Brewing for Dummies. It has some solid basic recipes and an ideal setup for dummies. If you need any advice message me...LoL, I won't charge you.

  • have you ever tryed mr. beer. it came out decent, how long does the process usually take?

  • I have never tried mr.beer...from mash to drinking about a month (un-aged ale)

  • Without doubt the best Homebrew video on the internet. Well done :)

    Matt

  • Dude, we have the same brewpot! Awesome production on your video here!

  • Yeha I got these 50L brewpots (I have two) from the Homebrew and Winemaking shop in Woodland Hills, CA in 1992. They work great!
