I love it. Question though. Did you let your Gesso dry between each step. It looks as if you didn't. I would love to try it, but I am afraid. I always let my gesso dry. Please let me know, I love your ideas!!!!!!!!!! TFS

lol, It is actually an old daily planner that I found at a thrift store. Moleskines are a little out of my price range so I just get whatever I find that has thick and sturdy pages :)

Thanks :) I use acrylic paints and a variety of different brands. I buy the colors that I like the most which are usually the bold and vibrant ones, lol. My favorite brands are Galleria and Apple Valley.

Love this. What are "gesso" and "gel"? What are they used for?

gesso is a primer for canvas. its similar to white acrylic paint but with a rougher texture. gel is also for painting. it comes in a variety of types such as matte medium, gel medium, semi-gloss and heavy gel. I use the gel medium as a glue form because it is strong and I use the heavy gel for texture purposes :) You can find them in the painting section of your local craft store

Awesome job. Great texture, great colors. Loved the stencil and spray ink idea. Golden makes a molding paste that creates great texture with stencils or doodling in. Don't forget melted crayons or beeswax as well. Tissue paper is nice too. Thanks for sharring. Great job. I really enjoyed watching.

Awesome!! I have a question...does your spray ink clog up alot because mine does? I don't know how to unclog it. I have tried to make the hole bigger and that doesn't work either.

thanks :) honestly, i havent used my ink much. maybe you could dilute it a little bit with water. that might make the ink thinner and easier to move through the tip...or maybe get a different tip if you can. some tips are bogus and others work just fine. hope that helps :)

Thanks! I might try to dilute them some more. I make my own inks though and I would dilute it with alcohol. I love my spray inks and I use them all the time. I guess that is why they get clogged up. ha ha

Thanks :) I love that song too. im not sure what else would give you that effect...u could probably do it with paint if you layer it on thick enough...you could also maybe try it with glue. let me know if you find something as a good substitute :)
