That last shot looked like the Graf's first cousin, the Los Angeles (LZ126?) was sitting next to her with two blimps just aft. Both very good ships and both very long lived. They both were torn down when each of their respective programs came to an end.
I honestly believe that the Hindenburg was exploded for political reasons. But why is there so little usage of Zeppelin technology today? Wouldnt it be cool to drive a van that can also fly by decompressing the stored Helium and Hydrogen into a also stored deflated rigid balloon? We probably DO have the technology for that today, so whats stopping us?
