It must have been early or something because if you listen to this guy sing on other video's (even live) he sounds amazing. Even if his voice was horrible I would still listen because you can just tell he believes what he sings. Which unfortunately isn't always the case.

I think this is a great song. I think as far as the singer goes, I'm not seeing any sort of help for him as far as a monitor, wedge or any sort of device to hear yourself besides sitting in a big ole wooden room. Could be filmed at 7 in the morning. I'm not going to judge vocal work off of this one video...

Nice song but . . . the singer of this band needs a lot of vocal work. Shouldn't it be a prerequisite, as an artist, to sing well? Lastly, what is "that drone thing, you know, that Christian thing . . ."?

I have no idea what he's talking about but I think that maybe that is a common thing played in worship music. I use the two bottom strings sometimes b/c it sounds good! Hope that helps?? haha

"That drone thing" is something that Chris Tomlin's guitarist, Daniel Carson, does a lot. It's more or less leaving certain strings open and just allowing the same note to "drone" on, it doesn't always involved open strings. Also I don't think he's a bad singer at all. If he's worshipping God does he really need to have a perfect voice?

Well, I've only just started learning the guitar, but my teacher (who is not a Christian by any stretch of the imagination, but is a really great guy, and terrific guitarist) was teaching me something that Stevie Ray Vaughn does with droning notes in "Tin Pan Alley". Yeah, the king of Texas blues used Droning.

I've been rockin' their new album since Monday, and it totally lived up to the first. This is definitely one of their best songs, although he didn't seem to be singing very well when they filmed this.
