My husband and I were stunned that someone so obviously fake could fool so many people. It's hard to measure the impact of any ministry, street or otherwise... just because hundreds come forward at a huge church doesn't mean any of them actually got saved. And just because no one 'came forward' at a street meeting doesn't mean no one got saved. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

In the Bible, Jesus says "my sheep know my voice." It's obvious that these street preachers are NOT His sheep. They don't understand His message of peace, love, joy, compassion, etc. I don't see any evidence of Christ in any of this nonsense. The Bible also says to "seek peace with ALL men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." This is all so contrary to the message of grace and God's eternal love for us.

We even said we didn't feel it would be long before one of them fell and we were not stunned when they announced their divorce not too long later. It's hard to measure the impact of any ministry, street or otherwise... just because hundreds come forward at a huge church doesn't mean any of them actually got saved. And just because no one 'came forward' at a street meeting doesn't mean no one got saved. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

that word Judge in 1 cor2:15 comes from the greek word anakrino which means to investigate, inetrrogate ask, question discern, examine search. Put it in its real context my friend. you cant just pick random scriptures to back what you do. I read a scripture the other day that said " go slaughter men women and children..." thank God i didnt stop reading there. =) Put scripture in its context so that you understand its ture meaning. He's talkin about discernment.

so now what paul really was communicating in 1cor 2:15 is "But the spiritual man tries all things, He examines,investigates,inquires into,questions, and discerns all things. He could know and read the meaning of everything but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into Him. Keep in mind He's speaking about the ind of God and wisdom, not condemning people to hell.

i pray that God will reveal His grace and love more and more so that you can understand how He views us. I know you know this but He loves you. That agape love is not based on works. Nothing can separate us from that Love(romans 8:38-39)He loves those people out there on the street. how do i know?Because i was one of those people. the bible says in titus 3:3 that we too were foolish at one point....

one day a street preacher calmly and gently walked up to me when i was younger at ybor city and asked me a simple question "do you know Jesus as Your Lord and savior" HE spoke to me rather than at me. He didnt tell me YOURE GOING TO HELL although it wouldve been true. but he simply explained the Gospel to me. and so it angers me when you come out "YOURE GOING TO HELL,YOU WONT BE DOIN THAT IN HELL" because the next evangelist, youth pastor pastor etc could be within that group.....

THats very true but you gotta understand that Matthew does not mark the new testament, acts does. when Jesus spoke that it was still old testament. its the truth but its not the Gospel. before Jesus was about to ascend He told the Disciples of all nationos. Preach the GOSPEL, i wouldnt say this if i wasnt in your shoes. when i was in the world and used to go to ybor and would see u all out there i would think to myself that that type of preaching isnt it. it makes people more rebellious.

i've lived in nyc for the last 12 years, seen all shapes, sizes and subject matter of people ranting and raving on the street... most of them spewing hatred... they come from all religions and causes etc... "Street Preaching" is what was done by John Wesley, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon, and (need i say?) Jonah.

That is true but should we not let people know there is a straight and narrow path that leads to Heaven and wide road that leads to destruction. Read Psalm 5:5, Psalm 7:11, John 3:18, John 3:36 and work them it your theology. GOD'S WORD IS TRUE!
