@camohosk i paddled about 1 kilometre when it was 6 to 8 foot. its a long paddle, and a long wave :)

its just the Panasonic Lumix digital camera,you may have seen it advertised on tv where the guy skims it across the river to the bloke on the other side,

its small enough to stash in the wettie and take out when needed,
