ive never seen that ram screen b4??! and when you were in your contacts my n97 uses kinetic scrolling aswel as the bar on the side, and your touch is realli faster than mine.. Why??!!

i updated my firmware 2 v12 and it keeps turning off then bak on it turns off before i can do anything!! help me?!

I don't even know how to turn on the FM function and also I do have problems with video playback similar to deimossec8's. Also, version 20.1 is out in Europe I guess but it's not in North America now so I hope they do fix stuff here and there when it is available here *assuming that it will get here*.

Dude You are Soo Lucky dont buy the iphone i have sOo many problems! 1. Always freezez and doesnt load.

2. internet sucks youtube crashes

3. I loose my internet connections all the time HAVE TO CALL ATT AND APPLE LIKE EVERY WEEK!

4. I never have service!

hi I have problem with this version, many times when I try to see a video, I cant, the video has audio but I dont see anything, I have to restar the n97, this also happens with the camera I dont see the image. what can I do, really I am dissapointed with this N97, I hope change it for a HTC = ). I had the HTC touch pro 2 ... Don't get it. I had slot of problems the lag the everything when it's new it works like a charm but when you put on a couple of movie some songs your fucked. NoKia n97 is by far the best phone I have ever had

ok i need some info, its realy doing my head in,, my phone is on firmware version 11 and type RM-505 like the one on the video, but i cannot get firmware to update to version 12 :| arghhhhhhhhh it keeps on saying no update available??? please some body help, ( one more thing, for some strainge reason i dont have the SW update icon on my applications too )

same on me. i think some countries and some phones doenst get it NOW. i made search si,nce days. there r quite several people around earth with this problem. i hope nokia put the update sooner. or NOKAI will make us wait until V2 comes. damn.

check your product code. Then go to the Nokia Website. In Product Support. just read then youll know whether theres an available update for your phone or not. Because not all software updates are available in all countries

first download the new ovi software from nokia site. Then connect the phone with computer and run the ovi update manager. It is imposible not to work that way.

umm, that i havnt tried, but i dont think it would work, its the same, i dont understand the reason they would release in diffrent countries and not others..

if u are trying to update to v12 than it must work this way...for v20 you have to wait 1 or 2 more months. greets

it has to work that way.....especially in UK, but I think that country doesnt matters for the updates! If I can update in Macedonia than it has to be working in UK, too!

no, but what i do have problem with is, when i put my call on loud speaker, the volume is good, but its REALY poor when i talk, as in, the other side cannot hear me loud enough ..

When its full you cant open up ANY applications. RAM is what is needed for a program to run.

I heard if you reduce the widgets you have on the Main screen that causes the RAM to go up quite a bit.

I own an N95 8GB and was considering the N97. I am now glad I went with the iPhone. I LOVE Nokia but I think they are really dropping the ball. They could bury the competition if they wanted to but it seems like they just want to get by. Too bad.

for everyone: do not use your finger, use your nail - the n97 will then register every tap perfectly !!

why your version says 12.0.024 and mines says:12.2.024? Also your Type says RM-505 and mine is RM-507?language set 1 for yours and mine language set 28. If I'm correct yours is American version right? because mine is and i got it at 5th ave New York.

Naw dude, HE got the Rm-505 which is the Global Version RM-507 is the US version.

Where I live i get 1900 mhz 3g so I bought the global verison (Updates comes a lot sooner)

you don't have the US version!! RM-507 is for the following: ARGENTINA, AUSTRALIA, BRAZIL, ISRAEL, LATIN_AMERICA, NEW_ZEALAND and PHILIPPINES.

12.2.024 and 12.0.024 is the same Version just for different phones.

RM-507 supports WCDMA 850, 1900, 2100

RM-505 supports WCDMA 900, 1900, 2100

RM-506 doesn't support WCDMA

well, the hardware you have is correct (RM-507 is for North America) but perhaps they sold you a phone which was for a different NA country. Which Product code do you have? Its on the white sticker below the battery. Should be 0575400 (black) or 0576111 (white)

hey mark, how is your nokia email client? mine is the worst thing I have ever used. It takes 20 taps on the screen sometimes for it to register me trying to change accounts or open an email.

HokiesACC: just use the deffault one and place the email widget on main screen. you then need only ONE tap to get the list of mails. to change the mail-account you need three tabs.

hey mark i just updated the firmware in fact i watched the video using the phone there is somthing diffrent in flash contenent i cant play the video in full screen and when i tap the screen it pauses and plays. Thats wierd
