I don't think it was illegal for the English the settle and claim Australia by their own definition. They claimed Australia because they were going to civilise and educate the "uncivilised" people living on the land. In this case, the Aborigines.By their English law, this was allowed as they were "doing good" by educating the "savages". We here in the US(much of us anyway) feel the same way about the Muslims in this country that pull that crap. Defacing the flag here in the states is a federal offence but none that I know of have ever been arested for it....BTW you should get a decent EQ and lower the highs in the video because the dampers that you put up are to dampen the bass but the highs are a bit scratchy.

Freedom to say what you want, I suppose what we lack is to say what we want how we want to say it. At any rate, that only applies to public areas where boisterous profanity can make the public feel unsafe, if you are talking to your friends than they won't care. Honestly, cops swear, but I'd want the police to have the right to arrest a man who's screaming profanities around children.

@AzzA1332 I don't think it should be the job of police to enforce political correctness. Do you remember when the pope came here and they said that if you turn up to one of the events with an offensive T-shirt it was something like a $5000 fine? If somebody is using bad language around a child I think that in the interest of preserving freedom they should be allowed to and you should be allowed to tell them that you think they should shut the f up or f off.

@ninjachick81 When Australia signed up to the UN it gave all Australians the right to freedom of speech regardless of its own state and country laws. Also under the UN laws we also have the human rights to defend our selfs if need be, most Australians are unaware of these laws so the Australian goverment uses that to do what the want when they want.

Progress is Progress. If English Settlers hadn't settled here, what would have happened to the Aboriginals during WWII? I just think it's time to get over the past and look forward to a brighter future. I respect the Aboriginals for being the first settlers here, but at the same time c'mon guy's stop dwelling in the past about what happened when the English settled here.
I do agree with you FAB, the Aboriginals do have it extremely easy here.

I don't think it was illegal for the English the settle and claim Australia by their own definition. They claimed Australia because they were going to civilise and educate the "uncivilised" people living on the land. In this case, the Aborigines.By their English law, this was allowed as they were "doing good" by educating the "savages". Although calling the Aborigines savages is inappropriate, the English did nothing wrong according to their own impression of the Aborigines.

I used to be an extremist in anti-racism. But the more I looked into it, the more I realise 90% of the racist stereotypes are true. I used to feel sorry for them; before I knew they'd beat up people in gangs because they couldn't beg smokes/money from them. Or when they accuse us of being racist; then call us white (C word)s the next moment. With the least amount of offense intended, they can go fuck themselves.
