  • Just to be clear, does the buffer reduce recoil a good amount to where it's worth being over $200? In other words, does it reduce recoil quite a bit or at least make it a lot easier to shoot and make follow-up shots? sorry for questioning...I want to know if it's worth it..

  • @MrGunRunning Ya it's noticeable. It's more of a push rather than a stab and it doesn't hurt my face. All I shoot is buckshot and slugs. My shoulder doesn't hurt at the end of the day. I have other videos of me firing magnum loads so you can see the recoil

  • @SparrowSquad LOL it is a mall ninja gun but everybody has to have their guilty pleasures

  • That is a breaching choke (smart one)

  • I want to get the same stock setup, If u buy it with the buffer tube and magpul ctr kit its about $260 but if u buy it seperate its about $300 bucks. Is the buffer tube really worth it? Shot some 3" slugs with original stock and let me tell u! My shoulder was hurting for almost a week! LOL but it was fun! I dont like the spec ops plastic garbage! nice video.

  • @Joerex8four Yes. I shoot 3" 000 and rifled slugs every time i go shooting. I had girls shoot my gun and they like it. it still recoils back but not like a jab, more like getting pushed. Doesn't hurt my face like the original stock ether. It's my favorite mod to my shotgun. If you get the Mesa tactical setup, I would get the Hydraulic Recoil Buffer. A standard buffer tube is cheap. I seen $15 to $40 so your price would be around 300 still if you wanted to switch to a standard buffer

  • I have a stock Remington 870 express that I just bought. Not sure if it's rem choke ready...

  • do you need to do anything to the barrel before installing the rem choke or do you just screw it in?

  • @jameshuynh02 just screw it in. I put a screw driver through the breaching chokes holes to take it off and used a choke wrench to screw it in. You could use a quarter to screw it in also

  • @CaptainNavarro slugs in a shotgun kind of defeat the purpose of a home deffense shotgun.. right? when youre thinking the point of a home deffense shotgun is to have an easy to use scatter gun that WILL hit an intruder when shooting pellets ; but WON'T send a slug or bullet into the next room that might hit your kid or your neighbor. ps- i have this exact gun, can't be beat in my opinion

  • Hey man great vid,

Could you please do a video on how to install muzzel breach/break on the end of your 870? ... I have a 870 express, and I would really like to buy one for mine but I have no clue on how to install that thing.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion It's pretty easy. Can your barrel accept chokes? all you have to do is screw it in. I have a choke tube in mine now instead of the breaching choke. Use a screw driver to get leverage on the breaching choke to spin it. For a choke you can use a quarter or you can buy a choke wrench.

  • If this is for home defense use slugs, nuff said. Nice gun though

  • get me one of those fucking things man !!! , fuck zombie attack, the muslims will outbreed us and call a jihad on us one day !

  • The mall should be good and safe now.

  • its a shotgun you dont need it to be real fancy.

#1 most burglaries are by amitures so make the noise, cock it.

#2 keep the stock mag tube, all you need to do is load after each shot.(i doubt you need any more)

#3 its a shot gun so it dosent need optics

#4 heat shield(hopefully you dont need to praticly slam fire it)

    #5 flash light(enogh said)

    #6 remeber stay practical,stay tactical

#7 i have more to say but little space

hopefully i helped you and viewers to,take care.

  • Hello.

Is this a real gun or a airsoft?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrMiguellk If I said it was an airsoft? would you let me shoot you with it? save humanity some..

  • @pennyman10 what? sorry man but not very well English, whether you'll have to write well why do not you understand in part

  • @MrMiguellk had not seen what I had written before. know AIRSOFT has created replicas just not very good shot cartridges.

to my gun and can also make it will blow your stomach out your ass!!!!

  • @MrMiguellk your airsoft can blow my stomach out my ass? yeah if you fucking threw it at me going 200mph'!! thats the only possible way that is going to happen. and you replied to yourself? wtf is that about?

  • @pennyman10 I wrote that guy is not going very well English, well what you wrote is that I think an airsoft replica, but does not fire cartridges.

and then I also I have got a shotgun is not a Remington 870.

    but Potet

  • can you put these upgrade on a new england pardner pump??? I heard the 870 parts were interchangeable with it

  • Have you ever considered getting the mesa side saddle with the picatinny rail on top combination?

  • @kaygeeboi Yes. I was debating on getting the standard side saddle or the rail with the side saddle. I went with the standard side saddle because I decided I wouldn't use any optic with this shotgun

  • thats a real nice gun! what was the total cost of all your upgrades

  • @amatthews38 The cost of the upgrades you see in this video is around $700. That is the upgrades attached to the gun. The reddot and scope rail, I don't remember. I bought a few extra things after this video like a magpul ctr stock and the new surefire flashlight

  • lol @ your 'friend, sara'

  • Why the fuck did u paint this thing ? Ugggglllllllyyyy , just like your bitch.

  • Well done! Sick weapon.

  • Yeah I decided to make a slide hammer on a socket and pull them from bottom up slowly and push them out

  • Im having problems with my extended tube on mine I bought it used so I got no instructions there is 2 little nipples sticking out almost to the end of the tube that keeps the shells from going past the end of the tube do I have to grind them off or what if anybody can help me out id sure appreciate it

  • @dylanc453 Yup. you have to grind them off. it prevents the magazine follower from passing all the way through and into the magazine extension.

  • @GOD719 how much does the remington 870 tactical run new and used?

  • Does that screw in choke increase or tighten spread? Or does it mainly just flash suppress and look cool?

  • @SocialNetworkWhore it's a cylinder bore choke so it doesn't constrict the pattern. its made so you can push it against a door to shoot the hinges and the gas will escape out the ports. it also did help with the flash. instead of a big beach ball size flash, it was a thin narrow flash. i don't use it tho. i use a modified choke. I have two videos on here if you want to see the flash difference. One with it on and the other with it off.

Remington 870 Express Synthetic fun on

    Remington slugs off

  • @GOD719 motha fucker why you make your shotty so god damn sexy. Hmm..??

  • @runhorun I got mine for around $540 new in 2008. I seen some new ones go for $390. My 870 had the special choke and a carbon fiber paint job which brought the price up. The new Tactical 870s come with ghost rings sights and a rail for optics. I think they are the same price as mine. You can probably get a used 870 around $200

  • hello! what type of barrel is that? Im looking for a 18.5 inch for my rem 870 for idpa.

  • @okjustleave Factory barrel. You can go to Remington's site or you can go to midwayusa(dot)com. They have 18.5" with a bead sight or you can get tritium night rifle sights

  • where did you purchase most of these attachments?

  • @ripfahaka surefire(dot)com and smartgunner(dot)com. I also have a magpul ctr stock on it but it's not attached in the video.

  • I work at a shooting range in fort worth. A lot of guys go out and spend $2000 up to $60,000 on a gun tyo shoot skeet and trap with. Mine...a 25 year old pump action remmington 870 with a modified barrel. I put them all to shame with my $250 gun in skeet :D

    Best buy I ever made!

  • I have the extension my 870 and the rivet doesn't stop my magazine plug it comes right out.

  • Firearms are a great hobby for sure.amazing how many ways you can buy accesories for them. I just have the 870 in stock form but plan on some goodies for her soon. Yours is a beauty.

  • @jetman1979 it can be addicting.

  • Nice 870! By the way, does the side saddle on your 870 get in the way if a left hander was to use it?

  • What kind of paint did you udd!?

  • @TheHurricaneJohannes At the time just regular spray paint. but i baked it. now the gun is parkerized

  • Rem/870 or a mos/500 what is better??

  • @luivillslugger They both have their pros and cons. The Mossy has a ambidextrous safety, the Remi does not. The Remi has a better safety position for a pistol grip than the Mossy's saftey. The Remi can add magazine extensions adding more rounds or less rounds, the Mossy ether can have a long tube or short tube which is fixed and cant be changed. The Mossy has dual extractors, the Remi has one. Remi has more aftermarket accessories than the mossy. The action on the remi is better than the mossy.

  • Really nice ShotGun..!

  • my 870 would only hold 5 in the mag tube. Do i just need to put more nuts on them when loading lol? id try now but i shot all my ammo last night >_<

  • Im kinda new to all the equipment and stuff. I was curious if the Magpul CTR Stock is special made for certain guns, like do you nee one for a mossberg 590 or will any of them work? Like when i go to the Magpul site it says like AR 15 or carbine. I was jus making sure i dont buy one for the wrong gun.

  • @DenZoR34 The CTR stock will fit on any milspec AR buffer tube like Mesa tactical, Knoxx, Tapco, ATI, etc. The guns originally don't come with Ar buffer tubes just the standard stock like an 870 or 590. So you have to buy the stock mount that has a milspec AR style buffer tube for the CTR. There are milspec and commercial buffer tubes. I would stick with a milspec buffer tubes since it seems they are more abundant.

  • I was inquiring into the surefire and God719 was nice enough to post his cost of the product. I really would rather invest in a good sight..whether its a speedbead or good ghost ring..peace

  • Nice weapon, I like what you've done with her.

  • @notWL I'm about to switch to the Kel Tec KSG when it comes out so this will be the back up gun

  • How much do you have in this gun so far? Price-wise.

  • @wchrisw Remington 870 Express synthetic=$520.00, Surefire forend weapon light= $395.00, Mesa Tactical LEO stock with enidine hydraulic recoil buffer tube=249.00, Mesa Tactical sureshell sidesaddle=59.00, Magpul CTR stock=96.99, Parkerized gun finish at local gunsmith=$135.00 Total 1,454.99.

  • @GOD719 should of just bought a benelli m4

  • thanks for the info on the surefire..these upgrades can get costly..the speedbead sight looks ideal for good cheek placement and is compact..would go well with your gun and the mounting is easy between the stock/gun. no permanent drilling..I have a high cheek rest with the Blackhawk knoxx recoil reducing stock with the powerpack attachment..the high sitting scope would be level with my 870, but i would not like the scratching of the gun part..i wonder if the speedbead is compatable with the Knox

  • @Drkojack im going to say yes. How the Knoxx attaches looks similar to the factory 870 stock.

  • @Drkojack

    $400 for a flashlight?

  • Thanks for the good info..I am thinking of adding the surefire to my 870 tactical, but i am not too sure if it is cost effective. Also the added weight is a concern for me...Do you find the Red Dot scope to be of any use at range or long shot ? and does the mount for the scope secure tightly faced with continued use? Thanks again for the good feedback for other 870 owners.

  • @Drkojack It does add weight to the gun. Surefires are a little pricey but mine lasted two years now and the ergos are better than most light attachments. If you want something cheaper, you could buy a forend grip with picatinny rails on it and attach a TLR1 pistol light. I have one for my glock. it's a good light. My friend did that with his mossberg. I had no problems with the mount but it did scratch my gun so there is a little movement. but I'm able to hit coffee cans at 100 yards with it.

  • @Drkojack Honestly, I would rather use open sights or the bead for up close. The sight blocks to much view up close. it's better at long range. I also don't like how the scope mount raises the sight so you have to take your cheek of the stock to look through the sight. I was looking into a sight called Speedbead. I would rather have the Speedbead on my gun than my sight. The Speedbead is lower to the gun and it's thinner so it won't block your view as bad

  • what brand is the fore grip

  • @gmizuno21 surefire

  • NICE!!!!

  • I bet all you want for christmas are your two front teeth

  • were did you get that for the end of you barrel?

  • @tacticoolness My choke/breacher? it came stock with the gun

  • one slick scatter gun

  • What, no heat shield??? I thought you said it was tactical. hahahaha Good looking 870

  • @lpd1122 I figured I didn't need the extra weight since it's getting kind of heavy. I wear gloves so I don't need a heat shield. I do have a heat shield just not attached

  • I bought mine at dicks sporting goods for around $550. I also seen some 870s exactly like mine just without the special choke and paint job for $390.

  • Nice setup... Where did you purchase your 870 from? And what should someone expect to pay?

  • so how do you actually use all of that, unless you plan to go shoot up someones house thats all a waste, do you even hunt?

  • @Wchris09 home defence, riots, natual disasters in which riots and looting would take place etc.no one is going to hunt with an 18in barrel. not every gun needs to be a hunting weapon rosie...

  • I hate that the good toys are only located in the states. Here in Canada it is hard to get the tactical parts. The good ones any how. Thanks for the video!

  • do you still have a warranty on that?? lol

  • @tekkenguy9595 Probably not with everything i did too it. if something goes wrong i will just buy a new 870

  • how did you put the choke on the tip of the barrel?

  • @ltxx84 My gun can take different chokes so I can screw any choke size I want. The door breacher choke is longer than my normal chokes which is flush with the muzzle

  • @ltxx84 did your shotgun came that way? where you can screw on a choke

  • Does anybody know where I can buy a shell plug for a Remington 870 to shoot .410,16g or 20 bullets for a Rem. 870?

  • IMO vertical grips suck there just not useful on a shotgun unless its a sawed off and a EO Tech sights just to big for a shottie you need to get a Trijicon amber or red dot 1x sight there kickass and small.

  • I'm using one of these for the zombie apocalypse

  • @TTUsucks88 lol my thoughts exactly''grabbin a shottie''we'll be holding out at a wal-mart super center

  • that rapes

  • parkerized is the best finish in my opinion

  • what finish is that on the barrel? is it powder coat?

  • @jtnsusi Carbon fiber Film. Now it's parkerized

  • With the Mesa stock.

  • I've got the Enidine recoil buffer it takes 70% of the recoil out of the shot. It's way better then the knoxx plus you can change the stock and grip if you want to

  • I can get (7) 3" rounds in the mag. My stock is one of the newer 6 postion stocks. Not the older one like he has plus I put a Viking buffer pad on it so it super comfortable in my shoulder.

  • I got the same set up just alittle better. I got the picatinny/ghost ring sights on top. I put a mesa tactical sling ring on it for a sling. The new l.e.d. Surefire lite. Plus a Wilson Combats shot tube witch adds that extra round.

  • @ZombieJudd Ya I bought the new 200 lumen LM2-BK light. Just the light. Not the forend. Can you get seven 3" shells in the mag or just seven 2 3/4? I also bought a Magpul CTR stock for the Mesa Tactical buffer and a aluminum magazine follower. If you can I would get ctr stock. It fits great on the buffer

  • omg looks sexy

  • Very nice! who makes that round extension?

  • @slicksassault it came Factory from Remington

  • I have a question about the rivot you say that blocks putting a 7th shell in the tube. I have a new 870 and would like to get another tube for it that will allow the 7th shell. Do you have a sugestion on what brand to get and where to get one?

    Thanks

    Danny

  • @BayAreaCowboy I haven't bought a forend tube to try it but I got 7 shells in the magazine with Hornady tap FPD rounds. It looks like Scattergun Technologies makes a magazine extension that flush with the 18.5 inch barrel and is smooth all the way. The "Rivot" blocks the magazine follower from moving any further thus preventing that last shell from getting in there. If you use 2 3/4 rounds you will see there is a little bit more room when you push. I meant to say crimped instead of rivet

  • Drill and thread some holes on top of the receiver for a rail to mount a sight on. Much lighter than that mount you have in the video. I think Brownells even sells a kit to do it.

  • @ARBuilder1776 Ya. I want the rail and ghost ring sights that come with the new 870s. I was thinking of buying ghost ring night sights and taking it to a gunsmith so he can attach the sights and remove the bead sight

  • @GOD719 hey walmart has a polymer lightweight plastic rail mount kinda like your metal one and thats what i use to hold my redot sight, and it doesnt scratch my finish.

  • How has the hydraulic held up? I've heard the AR buffers don't last.

  • @kekoa1969 Nothing wrong so far. it's built stronger than the standard AR buffers. only thing that I can see is scuff marks where the magpul ctr stock is rubbing against it

  • Where'd you get the SureFire forend light?

  • @LionsTigersAndTrouts I got mine from sydertactical(dot)com but I recommend going to surefire(dot)com first.

  • im stuck with a 18.5 barrel with RIFLE sights on it. meant for hunting turkey i believe....how bad is this??im not selling it or getting another oen cause of money and i just dont feel like dealing with it. would rifle sights be ok for a tac shotgun??

  • @NeedWarForPeace Are you good with the rifle sights? if yes, than they are fine. My sight is good for speed up close. Your sight is better for accuracy at longer distance so lets say if you had to fight someone in your house. My sight would be better. Now lets say you are fighting someone down the street at further distance, than your sight is better. The shooter is what makes the gun accurate. look up ghost ring sights, that's what I want to get

  • @GOD719 hmmm i suppose. a little practice with instinctive shooting at close range and some further range shooting practice with deer sights and ill be good:)

  • TactiLOL

  • is the 870 both semi and pump?

  • @Fred93Erik No. 870 is pump only. 11-87 is semi only but they almost identical

  • @Fred93Erik if u want somthing that is get the spas 12, and no i dont play cod

  • @nzoo11 those are INCREDIBLY expensive...

  • @nzoo11 Its too heavy and parts are very hard to come by. Also, look at that wire stock on the SPAS 12, do you want to shoot that a lot? It doesn't feel good.

  • @ARBuilder1776 i know but the one that ive seen has a normal grip stock and beeing heavy can be a plus if you use powerful rounds recoil wise and wasnt it made to be a carbine? but then again carbines are ment to be light so i dont know man but i agree with you on that wire stock ive shot 3in slugs from my 870 and my shoulder got real sore the next day

  • @ARBuilder1776 shoot bird shot to practice with occasional buckshot. too much buckshot even with a recoil reducer still hurts.

  • @nickizcool20 What recoil reducer do you have? Mesa Tactical, Blackhawk Knoxx stock, or Mako? At first my stock hurt but it got better after breaking it in. My barrel hardly moves an inch or two when firing 3" 000 buckshot

  • are remingtons made in the usa???

  • @jigglejack100 Almost certain they are. It says ILION NY on the barrel so they are made on the east coast

  • whats the longest mag extensions you can get if you have a 18.5 inch barrel?

  • @NeedWarForPeace The longest you can get, it will just stick past the barrel if you get more than a 2 shot extension. If you are talking about whats the longest extension you can get so it's flush with the end of the barrel, than 2 shot extension which is what I have. You can put any extension on the shotgun 1,2,3, or 4. it will function normally just the mag extensions will be at different lengths

  • @GOD719 ill prob go with 2 and buy that door breacher choke tube u have there. i can only find those for around 50 bucks..that wat u got it for??

  • @NeedWarForPeace Mine came stock with the gun. I never seen them in a store sold separately until recently. Honestly, I use an improved choke all the time instead of the door breacher. I don't know how much they cost

  • How would you compare this stock to a specops stock? I like the look of this much better, but I guess the zombies won't care what my gun looks like when I am rapidly firing at them...

  • @robotmonkey73 KNOXX- light,cheap,plastic,2 recoil reduction systems, easy to install. MESA TACTICAL-heavier,aircraft aluminum, expensive, one really nice Enidine Shot Stock Hydraulic Buffer, harder to install(you need an AR wrench to install the buffer)

The Mesa tactical is really nice. The rubber Hogue pistol grip is comfortable. Mesa will last longer than the knoxx stock. if you can't afford the mesa, the Knoxx will be fine.

  • Holy hell that light is expensive. All the prices on google shopping search are almost twice what I paid for my 870.

  • 870 tactical comes with the breach. does not work as a flash supressor FYI. you can research yourself. I prefer to shoot law enforcement 00, they cram 12 pellet in thsoe mother fuckers. or centurions.

  • you should drill and tap your receiver for a top picatinny rail to mount your aimpoint to.. wont scratch the receiver and you can still use the side saddle... itll also give it more of a tactical look as well and save weight vs the mount you have

  • very nice shottie

question will a magpul AR pistol grip fit on ur mesa

  • @kuyamike8 I don't think so. The Magpul pistol grips have a tab sticking out the back where it connects to adapter. The Mesa Tactical grip is square. If Magpul makes a grip that doesn't have that tab than ya

  • @GOD719 What about the MIAD Grip

magpul has a pistolgrip with interchangeable parts

  • @kuyamike8 I Just looked at the MIAD Grip

magpul and it looks like you can with the backstrap that's flush with the top of the grip. The Mesa tactical stock adapter runs straight back so the tabs wouldn't let you screw the pistol grip down making it useless. But any other grips from an AR will fit if it doesn't have a tab. Mesa tactical stocks come stock with a Hogue pistol grip which I think they use on ARs. I also put a Magpul CTR stock on the buffer which fits great.

  • nice gun

  • anyone know where i can find a bolt assembly for the 870 ? It would be a big help

  • @sheepdogmilitia midwayusa(dot)com

  • What is a choke?

  • If you got the flashlight pump from a internet could you tell me what site you got it from please?

  • @darksydeRyan I bought It from spydertactical(dot)com. but I recommend going to surefire(dot)com.

  • Nice shotgun. I have an 870 wingmaster, but am thinking of getting a second one to tac out.

  • Best review ever .. or whatever.

  • @SwollenCranium LOL. Ya this was my first review. i just winged it. i didn't plan it but whatever lol

  • Very nice!! I love those leo stocks you put alot of money in that 5*

  • Thats i nice gun. I believe in gun control but, damn I like that gun. I gonna go out and get me one and trick that bastard out. Then look out me and my kids are blow up some stuff.

  • i love my 870 =) probly gonna get some tac. products for itsoon

  • Hey man, nice gun! Where did you get your accessories from? Mainly the flash suppressor and full stock pistol grip?

  • @Eyesofthesouth333 The flash suppressor or breaching choke came stock. I got the Mesa Tactical stock From smartgunner (dot) com

  • @GOD719 Cool thanks for the help

  • @GOD719

i think they put that same breach choke on the desert combat 870 but its duracoated in tan.

  • How much did that in total cost?

  • @Hephistos Remington 870 Express synthetic=$520.00, Surefire forend weapon light= $395.00, Mesa Tactical LEO stock with recoil buffer tube=249.00, Mesa Tactical sureshell sidesaddle=59.00, Magpul CTR stock=96.99, Parkerized gun finish at local gunsmith=$135.00 Total 1,454.99. The look on the intruders face priceless. wait he won't have a face

  • @GOD719 No there wont be any face left hehe. I think i might get one.

  • @Hephistos That's without taxes and shipping cost

  • I don't think the weight of the slide would affect recoil since it's so far forward in the gun.

  • @icetrey87 Less Muzzle jump. It wants to come back instead of UP and back. You don't get slapped in the face with the stock as hard. The muzzle still jumps a little but not as bad
