  • The song "Goodnight Sweetheart" was his first hit single and it peaked at #1 on the US country charts in 1996. He had more hit songs the following year with the #3 hit single "Another You," #11 hit single "Day In, Day Out" and #1 hit single 'If I Ever Stop Loving You." His only other hit was in 1998 with "Wonderful Tonight," which peaked at #29 on the US country charts in 1998.

  • @Ginnib97 Hi Ginnib. If David is really your uncle and you have any contact with him could you tell him that Goodnight Sweetheart was actually composed by Gareth Jones, a Welsh/Australian and a good friend of mine. cheers Graham

  • Incredible cover of an unforgettable classic. I like the way David used a steel guitar, instead of an electric one, to do the soloes on this song.

  • wonderful

  • Is it bad that I like this version more than Eric Clapton's?

  • @monny287 pretty good cover , aint got the feeling that u get from clapton ~ so id rather the original version .

  • @monny287 not bad, tastes breaks Gender, if you like the course you would like more rock version of Eric Clapton, for me the best is that of Eric Clapton just came to see how it sounds in country.

  • Hey Sexy Brown Eyed Man this is the country version of this song. Pretty good, huh? Remember that romantic night we danced so close to Eric Clapton's version?
