If you are getting left side white while capturing images, (e.g images are over bighted from left) just get any black permanent marker & highlight a little area between your camera lens & flash, It'll surely works!

Turns the phone into a fast reliable phone!! google it and you will learn how to do it. keywords - jaf, navifirm, cooked rom firmware v22

i have widgets problem and the camera cover scratches the lens? WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING A COVER IF THE COVER SCRATCHES THE LENS??? the silver chrome rims around the phone is so easily scratch too.
Lastly, the video player is GREAT but cant play all format. only mp4 H.264. kinda piss off to convert all format.

the N97 is basically an expensive mistake if you buy it.. fm transmitter, which is a joke if your ariel is at the back of your car, NO INTERNET RADIO, widgets which crash, not that there are any good ones on OVI anyway. CPU that is slow, i.e. I can't use a downloaded internet radio player with any other application open as the processor can't handle it! lousy phone, and to think I have only ever had Nokia's.... NOKIA YOU HAVE DISSAPOINTED ME!
Wow, I'm really sorry to see this. My N97, RM-507, has been great aside from the camera lens scratches. I just wish Nokia kept a few things the same as the N95. Get that straightened out. I don't know what the 3 network is doing to that phone but the unlocked version for the US is good.
I had the same problem both with msn and skype and i am also with 3 network. I found a way to fix it though. I deleted the original applications and i downloaded compatible ones from the internet on my pc. Put them on the n97 and now works perfectly. Hope this helps.
Man, don't bother with this anymore. What you need to do is get a Samsung i8910 sim free... It's a much better phone without all the Nokia bloat, and also it WORKS. Which is kinda nice.

The sensor which turn the mobiles also not working even when I open the keyboard then also no use, and in the setting the sensors are on, although after restarting it works for some time then its same, using the latest firmware!
was supposed to have had my 3rd N97 from 3G on 10.07 Fri it didnt come I called 3 they said they are having problems with n97 & that they would call me back ??? im still waitting ;-( they say that i cant cancel my contract its gonna get messy real soon
Camera became unresponsive with screen turn 'black' after a few flicks of the cover, changing from primary to secondary camera or post viewing of images.
Sent for repair after 1 day of getting it.
Had updated the firmware, but nothing has changed.

How do you make the update, on the Phone or with USB and you PC. I do it with the PC. Maybe is this the Problem.
