The standards do allow for some white on Mal's, if you'll check AKC it will tell you more on that. As for your dog, that's a Mal, hands down.

Maybe you are right. In the Netherlands and Belgian we have mainly working dogs. Most of them are without pedigree and sometimes Dutch Shepherd are mixed in, very rarely German Sheps. The KNPV working dogs (police dogs) are also bigger, have bigger ears (as you can see in mine) and most times have white in their coat. Even in pedigreed dogs its allowed here (not everywhere but patches on the chest are OK). My Mal comes from KNPV lines without pedigree. :-)

I have a 5 month old Malinois and three cats.

One of the cats is absolutely terrified of my dog.

One of my cats HATES him.

And one just growls a little but shows a lot of interest and i think they are warming up to each other a little... Aw this is so sweet I really hope my pets get to be close like this!!
