CA is screwing its tax base to pay for public union demands and social welfare for anchor babies. Both the dems and the GOP in CA are in collusion, although there are a handful of fiscal conservatives in sacramento. I personally know about a dozen entire familes that have left for 5 other states over the last 3 years.Its going to increase if Jerry Brown is elected gov.

The banks had an incentive since the Clinton years to pick up sub-prime mortgage loans because of government programs that attempted to increase house ownership among people who couldn't afford it. In other words, the housing bubble was created when the government interfered. The car companies had to be bailed out because they are unionized- they pay much more per worker than foreign companies like Toyota, thus they could no compete. In other words, the housing bubble was created when the government interfered.
