I wonder if you know of any studies about the kind of dysfunction I have. I know there are other people complaining about genital anesthesia. Most of them I found on a Yahoo forum for people who have taken, and discontinued, SSRIs. It is difficult to find studies about people who've experienced numbness after being given neuroleptics. However, I have been in contact with others who have. Do you have any info about this? (My channel and video tell my story.)
@puyen58 The analogy is actually very good. Sex is becoming more like digestion than dancing. Like everything else in the age of medicalization, sexuality is being turner into a mechanical problem. The underlying presupposition is that a good life is functional in the same way that machines are functional. That is part of the technological hubris of modern society. We now expect machine-like functionality from life's processes.
I think the comments on here are very telling and I am happy to see them as they will help get more people to stop and think since they are so representational of the current thinking. I hear fifteen year olds on busses talking about girls and women as if they were commodities not people.
