@yescharliesurfs ...LOL...i'm a douche because you are in denial that there are better musicians out there....primus has been my favourite band since i was 14 years old (i'm 29 now) i play bass and cover all primus...there are however better bassists (jaco for instance), MUCH better guitarists then Ler, and better drummers than herb...i love this band and their style, its my fav...dont get me wrong...sorry you took it as an insult...you just displayed your insecurity...

ya' damn right , LES IS OUR ONLY Saviour, Jesus ate too much adulterated mushroom from Kashmere (where he died and burried), that s why he started to spraid esoteric tales all over middle east, after it s like the plague everybody got contagious. The buddah representation on earth.
i loved all the commentary on thier animals should not try to act like people vids....when they were atching all their old videos. the whole time les just kept saying "wow, we were really good back then" i love claypool but he sounds like hes getting lazier with time...this version of frizzle fry just doesnt sound that good. but when he played tweekers on banjo in vegas's oddity faire. AWSOME he stopped mid song and said "you know...ive never played this song on a banjo before" i died laughing

The radio jam version of this is so much better. Les' vocals were awesome 20 years ago. Not to mention he actually remembers how to play it 20 years ago.. Nice recovery by Ler though!
imagine how much weed these guys must have smoked to come up with this stuff. this song blows my mind every time i listen to it. i do believe in captain crunch!
Primus is really the perfect festival band. Tight musicianship, funny onstate banter, and songs to whip the crowd into a frenzy, such as the infamous "My Name Is Mud" at Woodstock 94', which is a performance I will never forget
i can play a little of dutchess and the proverbial mind spread on bass but i'm mainly a guitar play so i get more into larry lalondes playing but les is definitely the man when it comes to the bass
Hard to say, but I love playing Primus. Look up the video to Sausage's Riddles Are Abound Tonight. It was a one-off thing with Todd Huth and Jay Lane, the original members of Primus, along with Les. A fairly simple slap/pop line, but one of the best I've heard. Give that a shot.
The first one I learned WELL was Lacquer Head. Very good to get a hang of how to have rhythm, which even if you're playing primus, is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing for a bass player.
A late reply, but I am just trying to help: "Eleven" is a great choice for a quick Primus tune to add to your repituar. It's relitivly simple, and sounds great.
all the videos of primus i have seen from this festival have had really good sound... I love the version of john the fisherman when they open it with the intro to YYZ... and i love rush and primus too, i have seen them both and they were so awesome
Favorite moment of being at this show: Seeing the look on so many newbie's faces. Looked like "holy shit this is intense and I am so sorry I missed out on this for so many years before this moment." Lucky 1st time experience to those who got one on this day.
Golden times in golden gate park. Hope It becomes a regular event and Primus gets the main stage (as they should have this time - people were listening from a half a mile away lmao.)
Just look at that crowd. How primus did not get the main stage is what I really want to know. It was packed. They wanted to play more, you could just tell. An hour of primus is like a 2 minute sex act with a supermodel...everyone wanted more. Thank god for VIP passes ;)
I know that; They were good, but I've seen Radiohead before and Jack Johnson is horrible and sounds terrible live. Plus, I'm only 16, so I've never been able to see primus play in their original trio, so that's why Primus played the best show.
