This is beyond man. I can understand being good at man made crafts taught in institutions of higher learning like math, economic, science etc.. but most humans don't even think this is possible for them to do period.
With hard work a person can conceive Einstein and all the other geniuses that lived but you have to actually have a special brain to do this.
As the father of two sons with autism, one non-verbal, I just wanted to say thanks. Your video was so inspirational. While most with autism are not savants—everyone, regardless of their abilities, has something to share in this world. Sometimes it’s as simple as the change for the better that they make in their caregiver or the people who take the time to know them.
Cool. I think I have a memory like his. I hope to get as good as he is. And I think it's annoying how people are constantly saying how people can't do this or how it's frightening. They're probably just jealous.
I have just sat and watched this programme and this man has an incredible talent, after he had dawn the picture he even had the sizing in true detail, and even a building that was being demolished he had seen and included it was fantastic, i dont think we will ever know what the human brain is capapble of.
@igotbanned999, In what way is he ignored?? i've watched countless documentaries about him. If he was ignored, you wouldn't have any idea who he is. Not everything is a race issue you know.....
Ok the image of a black person in the uk is a stabbing street thug why is he not touring schools and being a role model to black kids, why is he hidden away as a rich mans play thing. Youre right somethings are not racist but some are
You're right not everything is a rtace issue but this is
@igotbanned999, The only race issues that i constantly see are made by ignorant fools who like to make a race issue out of everything involving a black person. How do you know he hasn't visited any schools? And maybe it's not in his nature to address large audiences of children, look at how shy he looks except when he's given a pencil & paper. Try looking outside the box instead of seeing everything as a black/white issue.
This is very confronting & frightening, giving hope at the same time. "You don't have to be disabled to be different, we are all different". Difference is a gift and beautiful- what a shame we don't always treat it this way. I hope for someone in our lifetime with 'the special gift' to find a pattern or solutions to the average person's missing links or who may have the ability to see the specific comparative difference to those with Alzheimer or dementia- and fill the void.
...and the breathless moments that I waited for the miracle were worth every ounce of oxygen I'd saved for the exhaling end. We are all so amazing; Just look between your ears.
Believe it or not but this is a capability very common in apes...we lost this kind of photographic memory with evolution...this lucky guy still has it!
So there IS an incredible potential in our brain. Things that science has not completely decoded yet. It's incredible to imagine what is indeed possible with our brains.
I keep expecting the jars to fill up with piss during the montage... "'cause at the end of the day, long as there's two people left on the planet, someone is gonna want something drawn."
Our brains....ah yes. Sacrifice society and a "normal lifestyle" in lue of being specially good at a particular skill. This is indeed impressive however his mind is sacrificing something others may see as more vital than a picture perfect memory.
I think that all autistic people have a special talent. This man can draw from memory without mistake. Daniel Tammet (search him) is INCREDIBLY smart with numbers and there is a boy in my music class who plays piano so fast my old teacher's head blew up.
@DownUnderGuitar said: (I think that all autistic people have a special talent. This man can draw from memory without mistake. Daniel Tammet (search him) is INCREDIBLY smart with numbers and there is a boy in my music class who plays piano so fast my old teacher's head blew up. ) Unfortunately, they don't all have something. I know two boys of different ages, both are pretty bright, and good boys, but no special talents. My cousin is about 17 now, the other boy is about 12.
@DownUnderGuitar nah not all autistic people have a special talent. it's really common for autistic people to have a special interest or an obsession- and because it is an obsession to them, then it can become a talent because they spend all their time thinking about whatever it might be- like playing the piano or something- and doing it.
this guy is awesome. i hope he does very well for himself.
@DownUnderGuitar I think so too, I have autism and I can compose music but I dont know theory, and I can draw realistic faces without lessons, I also have a very good memory with numbers
Hummmm, so from what I can see Savants:all very gifted with a talent in a specific area do to the brains sacrificing skills in every other area,Normal People:Suck equally in one most areas having to work their butt off for anything close to savant like talents.....sounds about right.
It's funny that people like Andy Warhol would be applauded for things as stupid as a can of soup and the same picture four times with different colors, yet many people don't even know about this guy.
@MrCocoaNinja While I can kind of see your point, Andy Warhol's work was incredibly new and avant-garde for his time, and that's why his work is so legendary.
This guy is just awesome. No words can describe!I am amazed as if I saw someone fly! Steven you are an inspiration to me and .Keep up the great work .You are not talented, you are art!
Stephen didn't speak his first words, 'Pencil" and "Paper" until he was 5 ! (Shock In Narrators Voice). Big deal, His extra ordinary mind certainly made up for the 2 year delay.

Awkwardly enough you could consider voting on American Idol doing something for the arts. Haha.
@PurityandDeath you're an idiot. he's mediocre? yea that's just an average skill no big deal. And I'm 19 and have already published a book while being a full time student. And in case you haven't noticed, not more than a few hundred years ago we barely had 1billion people on Earth, now in the next few hundred years we will be over 10 billion with ease. We can afford not to pro create.
@summitgoalie09 It's an interesting fluke of nature. I give you more credit than I give him. At least writing a book takes some creative ideas or a decent amount of knowledge on a subject. We can afford to procreate (You're a writer?) if the strong start killing off the weak. I'm all for eugenics.

Nope, no reason to be silent. Not jealous either, just pointing out something that should be obvious to everyone but for some reason it's not. Don't be stupid.
@abcd11144 And evolution runs it's own course. Although it would be interesting if we start messing with DNA or creating some of those human animal hybrids Bush is so keen on. I for one wouldn't mind a little gene splicing, I'd run around like a goddamn super hero.
@Testostrone250 Because you're a stupid 12 year old. Stupid twelve year olds dislike everything that's not Hollywood Undead, Justin Bieber or FPS headshot montages.
my negative comment is based on personal experience Rboysblaster
you like a lot of people never see or know what goes on behind doors nor see other side of many socialites I see Master Stephen Wiltshire and his genius
and as often I also know how family and so called friends exploit and bleed those venerable brothers you assume something you are protected from and many others also I mentioned power of attorney because I know how it is used and evil results
240p, so we meet again. Stephen you are crazy amazing. This is insane.

I am not protected from blindness
