  • I don't know why but lots of safety shots are terrible in this match.. :(

  • its amazing to read shit from people that dont know how to play this game. nevel's stroke is amazing its not flashy, he can pull off shit that most of the players in the world can't. honestly the "basic players" are those guys that take 2h to play and, in this case, thats when the "flashy players" are important because they attract audience and prestige to the game

  • I've been reading some of the posts that belittle the use of a glove. Ever shoot pool when the humidity is high? The use of a glove makes a big difference. Has nothing to do with sexuality.

  • That..commentator..Billy? Sooo annoying I had to mute it half way through

  • Cue power would mean that the player is able to spin the ball enormously because their technique is so advanced, that they can attack the ball with so much strength that they can move the cue ball around using spin

  • What exactly makes someone have lots of cue power? I know that Neil Robertson, the pro snooker player from Melbourne, has this term applied to him as well.

  • the pockets are soooooo big its hard to miss, i dont know how ur man missed dat red , fucken rediculous, these guys wouldnt stand a chance in snooker

  • @mkjhagfv i can't stand snooker snobs. can't we cuesportsmen & women just realize that there are differences in all variations of cue sports? i don't like snooker that much,& it has nothing to do with smaller pockets on bigger tables, it's the point system(balls with value), the re-spotting, the hoidy-toidy dress code, it's boring on tv, but it's mostly due to the amount of players & fans that shit on other cuesports. o'sullivan & davis' 9ball record is deplorable. do you compare rugby to NFL??

  • lary nevel playes with an american type cue stick or with a french type cue?

  • anyone know of a good professional pool table cleaner?

  • I seen larry nevel in oshkosh wisconsin years ago, he is a player to watch

  • he just cant stop talking...

  • LOL! 11:10

"Word has it they got very familiar with each other last night."

  • larry is without a doubt the most powerfull breaker in history

  • be sure to wear earplugs if you happen to be near the table when nevel breaks

  • Larry Nevel gets more action on the cue ball. I have seen him do some draw and follow shots that are just MINDBLOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This Nevel just had his ass handed to him lol

  • John Schmidt is soo underated.

  • is that commentator to the right drunk? hahahaha

  • Wow that first break from Nevel was amazing lol

  • maybe it's just me...but power on the break doesn't impress me the productivity of the break and ball made does lol

  • In 9 Ball I'd agree with you. In 8-Ball or 10-Ball the break speed is far more important. Reyes can't break nearly as good as Nevel can. If he could, he'd never lose an 8-Ball Tournament.

  • actually the best one fore me is the combination of both...and power and a good break

  • these two are shit...bring on Reyes or earl. these two are so crap and boring to watch!!!

  • 11:15 "Word has it they got very fammilliar with each other last night" hahah :)

  • @infinitepandas jim wych is such fag

  • @doilyfilm but the commentator who comments on every single shot no matter how easy or difficult and gets half of them wrong is straight.

  • That fuckin goddamn overhead blimp thing is pissin me off. Who was the ashole that came up with that idea?

  • I have unecessarily sweaty hands so I have to use a glove otherwise my cue grabs using an open or closed bridge. I would love to be able to play without one but I don't really think it's a big deal.

Plus I think it's just John Schmidt that acts like a fag. I'm sure his glove has no sexual preference.

  • mine were like that and i tryed corn huskers lotion

  • nevel has the best breaks in the world

  • you didn't know that until you watched this video

  • god i hate to see people saying the commentators dont know anything about this game, to me people who says this kind of thing are the ones that doesnt know anything

  • Especially since the commentators are all guys who at one time or another were very dominant in their day on the table...

  • how can you upload a video that in a hour long? you c ant upload so long videos on youtube. maximum 10 minutes right?

  • special account

  • what's that of special account???

  • I'm mixed on my opinion about the glove since first of all I have never use one and also never use a closed bridge. I can't comfortably because my fingers are too small. People say you need to use a closed bridge for a powerful strokes but that is so very not true. It just means you need a more confident and true stroke. A closed bridge will help most people and should be used if possible however if your fingers are small and closed is uncomfortable the gloves will help, but still not for me.

  • i call those lil gloves fuckin hand panties

  • wearing that glove looks gay. Sigel beat him in straight pool at age 55. He didn't wear a fag glove.

  • I got to play John in a local tournament about 7 months ago that was the best ass kicking i've ever had lol.

  • am i seeing things but at 10:47 doesn't larry hit the 4 ball first

  • no the 4 is the pink ball and he made a good hit on the 3

  • Lol these commentators dont know what they are talking about!

  • that shot on 4:25 was sick!

  • John Schmidt is by far my favorite player as far as patterns and simplicity goes... nothing super fancy, basics are basics for a reason.. and thats because they work... and thats what John Schmidt is all about functional technique... on the other hand you have nevel, hes flashy, has a long careless stroke likes to flash his power with draws and elevating his cue... usually flashy fancy players have really high moments and really low moments in pool. The basic players are more consistant usually

  • @smirlis713 totally agree mate..althought my fav is rodney morris hes game under pressure is one of a kind

  • @smirlis713 totally agree mate..althought my fav is rodney morris hes game under pressure is one of a kind

  • lol larry nevel is not in the top 10!...no where near...hes juss a power player nd prolly has the best breaks in the world thaz it

  • sweet 1!

  • dont forget while watching this that schmidt wins this tournament 2 years later i believe or maybe 3.

  • schmidt plays tourneys better but Larry is a better Gambler.

  • the hosts talk too much.. i feel like stuffin a turkey into their god damn mouth

  • Thank you, BC!

  • Larry is sick man top 10 players in the world 100%

  • Maybe top 10 breaks.. not top 10 players he is good but he is no efren or earl.. there are def. 10 players better than him.. come to think of it schmidt is better

  • Larry is around 30 years of age.. He not as old as those champs.. I watched Larry at the Carom room in beloit Wisconsin, he was on the next table from me...He broke so hard the the cue ball jump up and broke the lights over the table glass fell down all over the felt...the bar maid yelled out Larrrrryyyy !!! He acted like it was nothing moved 2 another table as she was cleaning up the glass...Classic

  • Thats true, but he also isnt the calliber of Shane Van Boening or Ronnie Alcano who are even younger than taht

  • haha oh and great story

  • Thanks Billiard Club for the videos, is there anyway you guys can put up a Scott Frost match? thanks
