  • Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska some of the most beautiful places created by God

and Jennifer Cheyenne Grace and Stephanie spent a great deal of time traveling thru past Spring 2011. The song is so beautiful

  • Really beautiful song.. thank-you for posting this :)

  • i was born alberta, lived all over canada , now i am in tenessee and showing all down here true cowboy music.... sometimes it feels like nashville has forgotten... campfiree yall

  • @tennecee I don't know if Ian Tyson's music was ever big in Nashville. I think his songs are more true and down to earth than most of what is considered "country" music these days.

Thanks for listening and commenting. Your time is appreciated.

  • A great song, what a shame it has never been presented in Mexico

  • Sorry!!! It was released in '97.

  • Great song from a Canadian legend!! I remember seeing an actual video that Ian made of this song with scenes shot around his ranch that was broadcast on CMT back when it was released in 1996. I only saw the video once. I have yet to see it posted anywhere on the net, unless somebody knows any different???.....

  • @Serge01111967 Legend is a great word to describe Ian Tyson and his music. If you ever come across Ian's video of this song you must let me know or post it here on YT. I would love to see it.

    Take care, Serge01111967!

  • Thanks for stopping by, JumpMaster! I couldn't agree more about Ian as a songwriter / entertainer and, coming from a Jersey boy, I envy where you live!

  • Glad you enjoyed it! As I mentioned to someone further up the page, if there was ever one song I could lay claim to having written, this would be the one.

I have "Adelita Rose" somewhere around the house. If you wish I will attempt to e-mail you the song. On the lighter side I have attempted that very song elsewhere on my YouTube page. Take a look...if you dare!

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Bill

  • I gotta thank you again for introducing me to this wonderful song Bill!!

    Take Care

  • Hello Bill,

Just sitting here enjoying your lovely video. Thank you. I'm with the majority & have loved this song since the first time I heard it. Also think all the songs on the Good Uns CD are fantastic. Love it so much that I bought several CDs so that my husband & sons would each have their own copy for the car, etc. Thanks again for your efforts! Regards, Darlene

  • Thank you Darlene for your very kind comment! I came across Ian Tyson's songs through my interest in Tom Russell and Nanci Griffith. No doubt Ian has written some of the best songs I've heard.

Thanks again for stopping by and commenting!

    Bill

  • Hi again Bill. I guess you know what I'm working on eh??

( A labour of love, I must say)

  • Not to put any pressure on you or anything but I can't wait to hear you sing this, John 8<)

    Bill

  • LOVE this video...!!! 5 stars

    Yvonne,Bob and Kazandra

  • Thanks again Kindred Spirits for the kind comment. Ian Tyson is my main man at the moment and I've got a couple of more of his tunes on the burner at the moment. Again, your time and generous comments are most appreciated!

    Bill

  • My goodness Bill. This is such a beautiful song!!!

I am such a big fan of Ian's as you know, but I'm sure I haven't heard this before.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Hi John,

As I responded to DixieRose if there was just ONE song I could claim to have written, this would be it. I loved it the very first time I heard it and it never wears thin. Thanks for stopping by John!

    Bill

  • Hiya Bill, this is an awesome song and video. Thanks for introducing me to some real good music. Take care. Regards your friend Jim.

  • Glad you're enjoying Ian Tyson's music! For my nickel he's got to be one of the most underrated songwriters around. Thanks for checking in Jim! Be well my friend!

    Bill

  • Bill, this is a beautiful song and video...you did a wonderful job with it....now I think you are getting me hooked on Ian Tyson music...thanks & 5***** for your efforts....RT

  • Thanks much Ronnie! I can't recall when someone's music got to me to the extent that Tyson's does. I'll be seeing him in concert on 7/29 and I'm hoping to get to ask him before the show if he wouldn't mind if I recorded a song or two and posted the video here on YouTube. Apprecaite your checking in, Ronnie!

    Bill

  • Aesome video Bill. Well put together. Kevin

  • Thanks much Kevin. I'm still pretty much in the experimental stage with matching up music with pictures but this one turned out fairly well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Your time is appreciated!

    Bill

  • Fantastic video Bill. Loved it.

  • Glad you liked it, fellas! I was going to "save" this song and do it myself but there's no way I could ever do it justice. Thanks as always for stopping by!

    Bill

  • Bill, this is a very nice presentation and Mr. Tyson is an excellent artist. And yes, this is a song that a lot of song writers wished that they had written. The melody reminds me of the song Help me make it through the night. GB. Ray

  • Thanks, Ray! I first came across Ian Tyson just within the last two years or so. Happened when my brother-in-law (the famous Laid Back Jim) told me he remembered a song called "Blue Wing" by Johnny Cash. I find the version of the song done by Tom Russell. I really like Tom Russell's music and I find that he and Ian Tyson co-wrote a few songs. I start listening to Tyson and now I'm totally hooked!

    Bill

  • excellent production...a director is born...well timed imagery...but why didn't you or Jim sing it??...either way an entertaining production...apeman swung by to visit some friends...peace 5*

  • Thanks Tiny! I've tried singing it but it's much too nice a song to screw up by having me sing it. Hey, thanks as always for stopping by. Do appreciate it, my friend!

    Bill

  • 5 stars,

    Beautiful video and super singing..

  • Thank you, DixieRose! If I could write a song - any song - this would be the one I'd want my name attached to. That's how much I love this song.

    Bill

  • Great rendition

  • Thanks, GG! Good to hear from you again. Glad you enjoyed it!
