  • Im so happy that after i had surgery ( Which was about 4 months ago) I didnt have the bandages over my incision.

  • @gaaratimeskip98 LUCKY! They were so annoying to get taken off and changed :( But, as the incision was clean and healed, it's worth it. I hope everything is going well! xx

  • i had my surgary three days ago and am still in the hospital they havent told me much about what i can and cant do is there flexability taken away or do you have to do things differently

  • @luckys49292 I hope everything is well!! They weren't clear with the restrictions at first.. I just asked them to give me specifics and they did eventually. Since I was fused pretty much from top to bottom, I did loose all of my flexibility in my waist. That being said, at about 7 months post op, I can bend over (not very far) at my hips and I find myself doing most things the same! After a while you get used to certain things and you tend to forget that you've even had it done! Good luck! <3

  • Im going to be getting this surgery as well. My curve right now is at 40 degrees, but I also have a fluid in my back that is eating up my spine, so they have to do a bone graft. Right now i am slowly dieing because of this condition. My docter told me i couldnt even wait a year ! Right now i am waiting for the docter to call to give me an appointment. Im very nervous but excited at the same time ! I will be having it done at the Shriners Hospital in Montreal.

  • @Scoliosisgirloox Oh my gosh, I really hope that you get it soon and that everything goes well!! I know what you mean about being nervous and excited, it's a huge mixture of emotions, haha! Good luck! <3

  • @flowers21xoxo Yeah same here, I just hope it doesnt take months for the hospital to call. I am going to be having my surgery either at the Montreal Childrens Hospital in Montreal or at the Shriners Hospital in Montreal. What im mostly scared of is being put to sleep, like the minute i passsout , its going to be a weird scary feeling, i know u wont feel anything cause your gone but its knowing that its going to happen ,, but im also worried about not waking up.... :s

  • I have to go through this surgery but I'm really scared about it. any tips

  • @woodward959 I am sorry to hear that, it is a difficult thing to go through but you can do it! I guess my main tips would be: before your surgery, stay healthy! Get lots of sleep and drink lots of milk and get your vitamins! I was really sick right before the surgery and they can cancel it if they think you are too bad! Also, it weakens your immune system, making recovery harder. Also, after surgery, follow all of the restrictions and take things SLOW. I hope all goes well!! <3

  • dude, we had the surgery the same day!

  • i am 12 and i have scoliosis and i hate it so much watching this made me cry

my curvatire is R*32 L*32 its not so bad but im so scared i want suergery and im so scared its not that bad but im so insecure its so hard u know this advise please

  • @cookielove25 Aw, I am sorry that you have to go through this. I hate to say it but with your curvatures, it looks like surgery is a very likely option for the future. Since you are only 12 years old, you are probably going to have to wait a few years before seriously discussing surgery. If you have any questions about dealing with scoliosis before surgery or even after please ask. I hope everything goes well!

  • your an amazing girl jennifer, i love you sooosoo muuch <3 so proud !
