  • Can they be any funnier??? Lol

  • Ahahahahahahaha awesome!!!

  • I LOVE THIS DAY! FROM CALIFORNIA THE BEST OF THE BEST TO EVERYBODY! WE CELEBRATE THE LIFE!

  • A Happy Three Kings' Day to you all!!

  • Truly fantastic, this is what these carols should sound like - great fun, strength and passion and power, full of life. it's the first time this year I've really felt that touch of the joy and unbelievable power of the nativity, thank you for posting this.

  • I have always loved We Three Kings (going back to never being able to see the whole thing on that Claymation movie) and this is just so wonderful I would have loved to have seen this in person.

  • Move over Il Divo ... the Wolverine is here!

  • DAMN!

  • i didnt know hugh jackman could sing that good

  • Hey there,

I love this song, if anyone has the audio for this video could you give me a link to the download or better yet email it to me. I need it urgently for a Christmas program.

  • I believe I shall be the king of Skyrim

Did not expect that did you?

  • I adore Peter Cousens' voice in this :) Fantastic rendition of the song

  • What year is it?

  • As cool as this was, I just couldn't get into it much; I thought they were too stocatto with the lyrics when it should have been flowing and the musical variations too pompous and bombastic for a what I think of as a weary travel song.

Still, it was awesome to see Wolverine unleash his tenor pipes on the world again. lol

  • @jmhinnen

I totally agree. This song is usually so holy and reverent. But on the other hand, I was totally swept away by how much fun they had with this song. It made the song much more joyous than holy, but I think that's also an important part of the season.

  • Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! haha

  • Hugh Jackman for Australian Prime minister ;p There is nothing he can't do

  • Very funny performance! Love it! I really love this xmas song!

  • I hate it when people sing this song so fast, but other wise they sang it well.

  • Oh, I love this version of this song!

Funny when Hugh bows the arm of Peter Cousins down...

Have a peaceful and blessed Christmas-time!

    Love from Germany

  • @cobalt100 yet he still is still the most influential person in history

  • so, should my reaction be incredible...or classic?

    funny is an understatement

  • love at 3:35 when Hugh almost trips. haha.

    Great performance!

  • Even this funny performance can't take away beauty of the song

  • they skipped second stanza

  • hugh jackman!!! ♥

  • omg... its crackin me up...hugh jackman singing a christmas carrol..lol

gosh... from which year is that??? i think ive never seen him that young...

but i have to admit he sings astonishingly good...

can't help the smirking though when listening...

anyways one of my fav-christmas songs too...

  • Wolverine sings! XD

  • @Nonamearisto Uh, yeah. He's a stage star. He starred in Oklahoma!, for one show.

  • @corvus13 Won a Tony for his starring role in "The Boy From Oz".....

  • Actually this was a good version which was more livelier due to the music accompaniment. The music made the difference to a great extent. Other versions too are great , they are only a bit different.

  • wow...they did a good job

  • I listened to a few seconds of another version of this song. I closed it because I deemed it "too wet".

This version is sung with gusto! I approve!

  • I love this song. In just a few verses, it sums up not only Christmas, but the entire life of Jesus.

  • lol This is so hilariously epic!

  • they went the wrong way on one of their west ward leading things

  • @lloydtopher1 That was part of the act... as a joke...

  • And a Merry-- Monty Pythonesque-- Christmas to all three of you! Great campy moment, Marie! Sounds like the audience loved it.

  • Byt that is not hugh jackman!

  • @xolosapro. Sure its him! The one with the cape and the first solo part-singer!

  • @xolosapro your retarded its him but way younger

  • Ok I understand: Peter Cousen is Casper, Hugh Jackman is Melchior and David Hobson is Balthasar ^^ :-) Great, I love the song and the singers! :-)

  • @Seastorm13 Did the three Magi really have these names?

  • @jcwk87: Yes these are the names of the 3 wise men, we in Austria/Germany call them "the holy 3 kings, or the 3 wise men of orient". To read in the Bible: 2nd chapter of Matthew. :-) and the legal high day is the 6th of January.

  • @Seastorm13 Danke! :)

  • @jcwk87: Gern geschehen! :-)

  • @jcwk87 Indeed they did

  • Does anyone know what arrangement of music this is

  • Check out my version of this song it is metal! The Captain

  • Incredible!

  • this song is EPIC!

  • christmas is such a kind and nice event how could anyone find hate in their heart on such a wonderfull day its jesus birthday im sure he is very happy with us all on that day

  • Hugh Jackman as Melchor - Amazing! :)

  • Excellent!!!!

  • Their beliefs, its significance...I'm just so sick of well written sentences and good messages completely losing their credibility due to their there they're your you're and its it's. It's a played out complaint and it's a played out set of mistakes everyone should be sick of it all

  • they seem to be intentionally..trying to out shine each other but in a friendly way-ham to ham combat fused with classical christimas songs? awesome!

  • lower your hand please

    lqtm~

  • I haven't watched this video ten times in a row

  • I love Hugh Jackman all the more for this!

  • Be cooler if they harmonized

  • Does anyone know what year this was?

  • @christiankittyluver wondering that too. he looks pretty young

  • @christiankittyluver

pretty sure it was 1998 :)

  • best version of this song ever! hugh jackman=yum!

  • god some of u queens must be really bored to carry on and on and on and on and on and onnnnnnn like this!!!

  • What a comedic version of this song!Peter Hobson,David Cousen, and Hugh Jackman made this carol really hilarious. It's like doing a skit with Rowan Atkinson (Mr.Bean).

  • @underafrenzyspiral don't find it comedic myself. theatrical but not done in a humorous fashion

  • It's September, and I find myself once again drawn to this video. And I find as I watch it I am filled with a tremendous sense of happiness and pride. Well done, sirs. Extremely well done. Particularly Mr. Jackman.

  • I wish I had a cape like Hugh's. It is so cool.

  • stewartrj prompts me to comment that he mispronunciation of this word "deity" has absolutely nothing to do with being Australian. It is an error of ignorance that anyone might make who didn't read the word correctly. The order of the letters is D-E-I-T-Y. Since it is pronounced in three syllables, most people reading it call it Dee-ity, not Dy-ity. "Dee-ity" is the common pronunciation in Australia. "Day-ity" may be closer to the Latin, but scholastic opinions differ.

  • How can on guy have so much tallent and thngs going for him

  • Thank you, Hugh, Peter and David!

  • Gotta love the Aussies. Favorite X-mas song and they nailed it. How old is this recording?

  • Silly Brits. Can't they do anything without turning it into a Python skit?

  • @greenblue1979 not british, they come from Australia.

  • I know it's three months after christmas, but I just had to fav this video!

  • lol 1:52 prince charming XD

  • This video is fantastic i loved the humor they put into it. i have never heard of the other guys but hugh jackman was great. and oh so dreamy.

  • Deity = "Dy- etty"?? NOO it's pronounced "day-itty"!! That is some serious lack of research on his part - tut tut!! :(

  • @jo123phoebe um actually that's their dialect, I say it like that too. In america they say "day-itty" and in Britain and Aus they say "Dy ety" not that either one is right or wrong or better or worse...that's just how we pronounce it :D

  • hugh jackman is the moste sexy one with the most beautiful voice

  • HUGH JACKMAN! <3

  • lol nice but i think they were trying to hard

  • What year was this?

  • @angelenriqu1

    It´s from 1997

  • @csillag4 hahahah lol

  • totally amusing! one of my wife-s all-time favourite christmas carols!

  • I love these guys. They're so manly! ;)

  • FANTASTIC! I love how David Hobson shit stirs Hugh Jackman. Great sound! Good fun!

  • waaah! hugh jackman! idol!

  • Mario Lanza's version is the best.

  • like the steve ouimette version better :P

  • haha, this is cool. but who is the guy wearing the purple cloak?

  • That's Hugh Jackman! Multi-talented man :P

  • @untangomas

haha, really? he looks so different... I don't know what it is...

  • That's Hugh Jackman, also known as Wolverine from X-men :P

  • None of them sound like Wolverine.

  • ..No comment.

  • What?

  • and also known as Van Helsing :D

  • @gostridr2012 Yes, he's really something, isn't he? In fact, he was in several musical theatre productions, including one called The Boy From Oz, clips of which I know can be found here on youtube. Look it up, if you get the chance. =0)

  • Awesome Talents!!!!!!!!!! Orchestra too!!!!!!!!

  • If Wolverine had been one of the Wise Men, Herod would have never dared threatened Jesus.

  • LOL!!! That comment made my day! =)

  • @rachiekayester Glad I could be of assistance =) In all seriousness this was one of the greatest versions of We Three Kings I have ever heard. I don't know if any of the tree are Christians, but they honored the Lord well with that rendition.

  • @CombatSportFan Very, very eloquently said. Both comments. Incidentally, I'd read that Jackman's Dad was led to Christ by Billy Graham, but that Hugh himself has kind of...chosen a different road. But there's always, always hope. =0)

  • As long as he believes in God he's never too far off the right path. Not to mention, he put just a bit too much into the song for some of it not to be legitimate in his heart (I think.)

    Merry Christmas. =)

  • @CombatSportFan I agree, in both aspects. I often find myself wondering around Christmas time about the stock the singers put into the sacred Christmas songs they sing. And yes, I think that he invested a lot of passion (more so than the other two, anyway--though not to say they didn't) into the lyrics.

And as you say, all it takes is a seed being planted.

Merry Christmas to you, as well. =0)

  • I just wanted to say that it shouldn't matter wheather someone is Christian or not. That is only a small part of who they are, it doesn't make a difference what religion they practice, if indeed they practice one at all. For some people Christmas isn't about the birht of Jesus, it is about family, friends and love. It is about hope, hope that maybe next year, you'll get that holiday, that job, that wish. Hope that maybe people will start respecting each other for who they are...

  • @xxkmsmilesxx well for Christians it is about the birth of Christ, but I have no problem with others celebrating as well. The more the merrier. It just makes me ponder when people sing religious Christmas carols though. That's all I was asking about. Merry Christmas to you to KM Smiles, and a blessed 2010 to come. =)

  • Many sing religious carols simply because they like how they sound, like me.

  • not what they could be. Hope that maybe, just maybe, the New Year will bring a new beginning, no war just peace. It is a time to be thankful for all you have and give to those who aren't as fortunate. Just because someone isn't religious doesn't make them any less human, any less special or important. We are all the same underneath it all, we are brothers, sisters embarking on the same journey.

  • We should cherish the differences between us because if we were all the same in every way, life would be boring and dull.

I say this to CombatSportFan also. I respect both your beliefs and wish you both a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  • @xxkmsmilesxx I see your side, and agree. I also wish you a very Merry Christmas. And I also think that it is refreshing to have conversations such as these with two level-headed people that don't turn it into an online shouting match of profanity and negativity. Thank you both for being so good to speak with. =0)

  • ABCSuperSoaper, it is most refreashing to talk to someone so open minded and accepting. I have bad experiences with a few devout Christians and was left with a feeling of negativity but you and CombatSportsFan have opened my eyes to a different side to religion and I thankyou. It has been a pleasure talking with you. God Bless You!

CombatSportsFan, I know that is what you asking I just thought that what I wrote to ABSuper, may answer your question.

  • You don't have to believe in specifics to feel something. I believe in the magic of Christmas and so feel strongly about almost every carol that I hear. Christmas is something special and I don't need religion or God to tell me that but I do completely respect those who do. I do believe in God and in his son but for some that doesn't seem to be enough. I am in no way referring to either of you, just so you know. =D

  • I respect there beliefs, if that is there belief then good for them :D I also meant that if Christmas is special to some because of it's religous significance then I am totally on board with that. Everyone has a right to their own beliefs and I do agree that what I said sounded weird. I didn't mean it to.

  • @xxkmsmilesxx i agree

  • I also wonder about some performers. Do they really feel that song or is it a 'performance'. It makes me feel more connected to the song and performer if I know either way :D

ABCSuper, apologies for misspelling your name before :P

Merry Christmas to you both and thankyou for being so open minded, friendly and lovely to speak to. God Bless

  • @ABCSuperSoaper Cannot believe it's been two years since I found this video. Time flies. Merry Christmas to you and yours! =)

  • @rachiekayester Cannot believe it's been two years since I wrote that already. My how time flies. Merry Christmas to you and yours! =)

  • @CombatSportFan

    LOL

  • @CombatSportFan all herod wanted to do was kill innocent babies

  • @CombatSportFan especially if Chuck Norris was one as well

  • @CombatSportFan

Who the fuck is Herod ?! lmao

  • @StonedGV Herod was a king who feared the prophetic rise of Jesus as one day being a king. Taking it the wrong way, Herod wanted Jesus, as a baby, to be murdered to prevent this from happening. Since he couldn't find Jesus, he had every new born male in Bethlehem and the immediate vicinity thinking that would eliminate the threat. It is known as the Massacre of the Innocents. By the time it occurred Mary and Joseph had fled with Jesus to safety.

  • @CombatSportFan

Cool! ty, is this actually fact with actual proof or just bible banter for christians who belive it mate ? Not trying to start something, Sounds like a cool story! thanks for telling me who it was

I'm not a christian really or anything, Ibelive in God, But I don't belive in a lot of the crap that comes from the bible, So I'm kind of like my own beliefs, And I'm sure God would have rathered that than everyone following just 1 thing. I'm sure he wasn't that ignorant!

    MerryXmas!

  • @StonedGV Well it will always be debated by historians because a lot of historians don't want to give anything in the Bible credit. Most historians admit Jesus Christ lived, but a lot won't even tip their hat to that. Beyond Biblically speaking, Herod is known to have lived and many scholars and historians of that time wrote accounts of him doing similar if not WORSE things in order to keep his throne. So it is highly likely that it went down like the Bible says. I believe it did myself.

  • @StonedGV Is what actual proof? That Herod wanted to murder Jesus?

  • @StonedGV I was checking if someone had posted info on the date of this recording and I saw your comment: what 'crap' do you find in the Bible? Perhaps a poor translation was the culprit? As to God, one's own beliefs and ignorance: would you consider yourself ignorant for wanting others to know you for who you really are instead of making up their own ideas, possibly totally diverging from reality?

  • It's plainly choreographed. They even poke fun at the pretense that it isn't.

At least, that's how I took, "Oh, you mean that song we've been rehearsing all week?"

  • The more often I watch this video the more I love it!

    Greetings from Germany.

  • I wonder why Hugh Jackman never sings in his movies. He has a great voice.

  • Hmm Handsome and good singers at thats Awesome song and good vid!

  • love it! :-) hehehe

  • Comment removed

  • noooo - its totally a part of the show - its 100% choreographed - but we can agree to disagree! =] unless you wanna agree with me? =p

  • Comment removed

  • too convincing for an accident - it is obviously choreographed - alright already =]

  • LittleAngel1977, you're a fool. It was obviously choreographed. You are easily tricked.

  • Yes, it was choreographed.

  • How rude!!!

  • yay - someone with a brain =]

  • Caspar, Balthasar, and Melchior...I wonder why they never mention Artaban?

  • lol hugh must be a leftie ^^

look at his hand he always wants to keep the mic in the left hand but has to change coz of the moves xD got the same problem myself

  • what year is this, n this must be in Australia?

  • Thank you God Almighty for this wonderful song!

  • My daughter and I love this one! She sings as Melchior during the song. lol

  • Hugh Jackman is my dream man...

lol though it took me a minute to recognise him with his arms covered on and his face shaved =P

I was smiling through this whole video. I had to favourite it!

  • Comment removed

  • Lol their clothes bring back memories about my old school;P

  • actually the kings are not kings they are called the magi and they were astronomers, but that is the only difference

  • Also they were of Persian origin.

  • I mean the actual three kings

  • the three kings who travelled from the east (orient, i think) when they heard the news of a new king (i.e. jesus) being born - they followed a star in the sky, it led them to jesus's birthplace. and they presented him with the gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense.

  • Who r the 3 kings?

  • Do you mean the people playing the 3 kings or the actual 3 kings?

  • Hugh Jackman is so hot he's modest polite and kind. I love him

  • this is the hugh jackman from x men

  • This can't be the same Hugh Jackman in X-Men, yet I can't find any info on this guy, anywhere. Anyone know where I can find out?

  • Actually it is. Hugh Jackman was a Broadway star in Australia before he did any movies in the US. When Hugh Jackman isn't shooting movies, he is usually on stage.

  • @Egoist1957 It is, the guy does tons of musicals.

  • cool and I am also play Melchior!
