you do realize, don't you, that you don't have to connect so many strips at once, right? More strips can be added once the length of the connections gets shorter, instead of having such a long piece to work with.Plus the longer the piece you weave the greater chance of it getting tangled. The work would go faster if the connected strips are added to instead of using so much at once :)
For making long strips out of T-shirts, use the same exact method as to make plarn out of plastic bags. You won't have to tie anything together. I have a tut about that at my channel---repurpose plastic bags for weaving---I'd post a video response with the vid for that but don't see the option for it here but hope you have time to stop by and check that out.
Hi, great tute. I just made a wall hanging and a hanging tube. I made my loom a lot bigger by using a piece of smooth counter top that had a back splash. I put nails on each end. I finally figured out to use plastic bags at the beginning as waste fabric so I won't push it up too far. I almost couldn't tie it off the first time. I added wooden beads to wall hanging by using hemp cord on the bead row and tieing it on each end, then back to the fabricf. It was Kool looking.
yarn would be nice, just weave 1 and 3 the same and 2 and 4 a diff color.
