akainu's my favourite admiral... definition of badass, doesn't do anything by half measure. It was his duty to fight pirates and he delivered something awesome.
I don't know why; I can see Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji each taking on one of the three admirals. Luffy takes on Akainu who took Ace's life, Zoro fighting Kizaru with Kizaru's light-sword-thing, and Aokiji fighting Sanji with Diable Jambe to melt Aokiji's ice. If this was like the last battles in the series... I think that would be fuckin' amazing.

@sonoAlfi Not necessarily don't forget haki is really only a strength amplifier/way to predict/ way to get around devil fruit abilities one who somehow masters haki but isn't physically strong in the first place wouldn't stand a chance against a strong combatant who is also skilled with haki such as Shanks for example. Even without haki Shanks is still an incredible swordsman.

Captain Puzzle is really something. I mean the guy doesn't have an ability, but has a 100 million bounty on his head, plus his fighting skills are superb. If he trained more, and fine tuned his abilities, he would actually be a formidable foe for Luffy.
OP anime episode 2 or 3 year 1999,they said there's a man that can make tsunami,& that's fucking whitebeard df introduced year 2009,that means animators/some directors are very close to Oda & Oda is the same,they have permission from Oda,to always put foreshadowing scenes in the anime
Right, this is a "filler". Nevertheless there must be some feedback between the animators and Oda, they must be very careful not to introduce characters that may contradict future events. So I don't think that the power we see displayed here is just a "coincidence"!

The thing, though, is that Akainu attacks in a very similar way. Even though his DF is magma, he has moves that are very much like meteorites.
After watching this, I can tell that there is yet MORE anime-only foreshadowing to Akainu. Gotta admit...He may end up being the most important admiral!
Today in the spoiler it was revealed he is a volcano man! He can meteor objects like that, and can erupt magma from his body. Except white beard could cut the meteor object in half.
That would be even more far-fetched than Akainu, since they don't even know how he's supposed to llok like or they don't even have any clue on his power unlike with the Admirals.
Again, how could he have always managed fillers if there are so much mistakes in them:
-Akainu portrayed as a friend of a Vice-Admiral, who has opposite views on justice
-Chopper eating more than three rumble balls during Davy Back fight and nothing happening
-Zoro cutting steel during Warship island
Fillers just aren't managed by Oda, except for the Loguetown fillers, which he just created and the anime team did their thing. That meteor guy is just that, filler, their own thing.
He also helped out with the plot, and it is possible that he requested that little clip to boost the anime with something that could be shown in the New World.
And he could have done something like in the manga, it's not like it could take more than a page.
Guys, it's just filler, TOEI's just preparing for another filler arc. If something like this was foreshadowed, then maybe, but there is absolutely nothing in the manga. he just drew a villain, that's all. This whole discussion is just going back and forth with everyone again and again saying that Oda made this and that for the filler.
It's not a big enough deal for it to be foreshadowed. It's ONE attack. Oda DID help with the plot, not just draw some villians. I'm sure if Oda was involved in any way (even just by art) then he would have prevented that little scene to make the anime more correct, but he didn't.

Even if he did help, it just boggles me how anyone can think that this is some super strong person Oda decided to not show in the manga. That's called filler.
I just recently heard that on Oda's request, the Strawhat pirates adventures on the different islands will be expanded in the anime to produce filler. So THIS is probably the first time Oda produced something big in anime(except for movie 10), but could be a rumor
I can't find the statement, but I'm sure it was in one of his interviews. He's getting involved in the anime when he can aswell. And he actually show the strong person, just the attack. It's relatively low key. We can only wait and see.
Fillers on the other SHs? That'd be interesting. Oda may have some contribution to that aswell, just to keep the anime from creating any plotholes.

Because I'm sorry but i find that hard to believe, being sure doesn't cut it. you see, look at it from my view - we have a filler arc where a filler crew is attacked in the new World by someone that is in no way foreshadowed in the manga, a name isn't even mentioned not even the marine logo, something that could start a legitimate discussion. But no, people are acting like New World is only populated by canon top tiers. And in the anime, that simply isn't true.
All the anime did, that the manga didn't, it give the slightest, and I mean the slightest, glimpse of what kind of powers there are in the New World. That's all. Oda, who definately had some influence in the filler arc (designs or plot, as I can't find the statement), obviously gave permission for TOEI to show that little scene.
New World is an ocean and some islands, it's the same as Grand Line, just on a hard level. Oda shows us glimpses constantly, Whitebeard and Shanks split the skies with one clash. Anime in contrast showed us a filler of a filler crew getting attacked by a filler enemy. Don't tell me those pirates wouldn't recognize someone as big as Akainu or Kaidou. He may have given permission but this permission is based on nothing in the manga, so it is filler.
Why would Oda allow for the anime to show such a ship and a strong attack? It could completely contrast the manga if a power like that is never further developed. Either don't involve the scene or involve it and develop it later. Most things in filler arcs stay in the filler arc (as in on that island), but this arc showed something in the new world. And those pirates didn't say anything about the opposing crew... did they have do?
You're acting like filler never contradicts anythinf and is fully developed.When something that has appeared in fillers isn't foreshadowed or mentioned in the manga, it's filler, it being from the New world doesn't mean anything. And a name drop would certainly help in this situation, because people who watch anime and read manga wouldn't say that the enemy possibly isn't filler, which doesn't exactly help this situation.
Oda hasn't been involved in all fillers, that's why there are some contradictions in others (like the first filler arc giving a marine the title of admiral). But he's involved in this one, so he'd prevent for something to appear if it would contradict the manga. All I can say is wait and see, because us two debating this isn't going anywhere.

Haki was introduced as far back as CHAPTER ONE, Oda doesn't make filler, that's a really dumb suggestion, even if he had the time he just isn't part of the anime staff to begin with. The filler is behind the manga already so of course they try to forshadow events Oda is already telling about in the manga like Haki.

Captain Puzzle is really something. I mean the guy doesn't have an ability, but has a 100 million bounty on his head, plus his fighting skills are superb. If he trained more, and fine tuned his abilities, he would actually be a formidable foe for Luffy.

Right, this is a "filler". Nevertheless there must be some feedback between the animators and Oda, they must be very careful not to introduce characters that may contradict future events. So I don't think that the power we see displayed here is just a "coincidence"!

Estas bolas de fuego que son la habilidad de Akainu y el barco acorazado de la Marina, no son simples "coincidencias", sino ellos hubieran decidido simplemente introducir un nuevo personaje que lanza bolas de fuego, lo cual crearía una contradicción con Akainu.

"Los colores reales de kuma" no es necesariamente un error, sino que talvéz decidieron darle un tono mas sombrío. La "primera aparicion de Marco" puede ser un error técnico y no necesariamente falta de cooperación entre Oda y Toei. "La cicatriz de hombro de Nami" sucedió al comienzo de la serie, cuando esta no era tan popular, pero no creo que ahora se arriesgarían a introducir crasas contradicciones. Si este enemigo no tiene nada que ver con Akainu, porque entonces mantenerlo en secreto?

The thing, though, is that Akainu attacks in a very similar way. Even though his DF is magma, he has moves that are very much like meteorites.
After watching this, I can tell that there is yet MORE anime-only foreshadowing to Akainu. Gotta admit...He may end up being the most important admiral!

Again, how could he have always managed fillers if there are so much mistakes in them:
-Akainu portrayed as a friend of a Vice-Admiral, who has opposite views on justice
-Chopper eating more than three rumble balls during Davy Back fight and nothing happening
-Zoro cutting steel during Warship island
Fillers just aren't managed by Oda, except for the Loguetown fillers, which he just created and the anime team did their thing. That meteor guy is just that, filler, their own thing.

The ship is probably a Yonkou ship; Kaidou or the other one (Lola's mum?).

Guys, it's just filler, TOEI's just preparing for another filler arc. If something like this was foreshadowed, then maybe, but there is absolutely nothing in the manga. he just drew a villain, that's all. This whole discussion is just going back and forth with everyone again and again saying that Oda made this and that for the filler.

It's not a big enough deal for it to be foreshadowed. It's ONE attack. Oda DID help with the plot, not just draw some villians. I'm sure if Oda was involved in any way (even just by art) then he would have prevented that little scene to make the anime more correct, but he didn't.

Even if he did help, it just boggles me how anyone can think that this is some super strong person Oda decided to not show in the manga. That's called filler.
I just recently heard that on Oda's request, the Strawhat pirates adventures on the different islands will be expanded in the anime to produce filler. So THIS is probably the first time Oda produced something big in anime(except for movie 10), but could be a rumor

I can't find the statement, but I'm sure it was in one of his interviews. He's getting involved in the anime when he can aswell. And he actually show the strong person, just the attack. It's relatively low key. We can only wait and see.
Fillers on the other SHs? That'd be interesting. Oda may have some contribution to that aswell, just to keep the anime from creating any plotholes.

Because I'm sorry but i find that hard to believe, being sure doesn't cut it. you see, look at it from my view - we have a filler arc where a filler crew is attacked in the new World by someone that is in no way foreshadowed in the manga, a name isn't even mentioned not even the marine logo, something that could start a legitimate discussion. But no, people are acting like New World is only populated by canon top tiers. And in the anime, that simply isn't true.

All the anime did, that the manga didn't, it give the slightest, and I mean the slightest, glimpse of what kind of powers there are in the New World. That's all. Oda, who definately had some influence in the filler arc (designs or plot, as I can't find the statement), obviously gave permission for TOEI to show that little scene.

New World is an ocean and some islands, it's the same as Grand Line, just on a hard level. Oda shows us glimpses constantly, Whitebeard and Shanks split the skies with one clash. Anime in contrast showed us a filler of a filler crew getting attacked by a filler enemy. Don't tell me those pirates wouldn't recognize someone as big as Akainu or Kaidou. He may have given permission but this permission is based on nothing in the manga, so it is filler.

Why would Oda allow for the anime to show such a ship and a strong attack? It could completely contrast the manga if a power like that is never further developed. Either don't involve the scene or involve it and develop it later. Most things in filler arcs stay in the filler arc (as in on that island), but this arc showed something in the new world. And those pirates didn't say anything about the opposing crew... did they have do?

You're acting like filler never contradicts anythinf and is fully developed.When something that has appeared in fillers isn't foreshadowed or mentioned in the manga, it's filler, it being from the New world doesn't mean anything. And a name drop would certainly help in this situation, because people who watch anime and read manga wouldn't say that the enemy possibly isn't filler, which doesn't exactly help this situation.

Oda hasn't been involved in all fillers, that's why there are some contradictions in others (like the first filler arc giving a marine the title of admiral). But he's involved in this one, so he'd prevent for something to appear if it would contradict the manga. All I can say is wait and see, because us two debating this isn't going anywhere.

Haki was introduced as far back as CHAPTER ONE, Oda doesn't make filler, that's a really dumb suggestion, even if he had the time he just isn't part of the anime staff to begin with. The filler is behind the manga already so of course they try to forshadow events Oda is already telling about in the manga like Haki.

Actually, no. Even if that was truth, the only thing he did for this filler arc was desing the villain(I don't know if he desinged the whole family though).

Calm Belt WAS in the manga(chapter 101).Please get your arguments right. I know what you're trying to say, but if Oda had so much power over the fillers, there wouldn't be mistakes like the news about Garp, Coby and Helmeppo travelling to Grand Line through the Reverse Mountain, which didn't happen. While I agree that Akainu will have a logia element related to fire, this is just not him, sorry. This isn't like Toriyama with Dragonball

And as for Daddy the Father, yes, Oda did want to use him but his first appearance wasn't in anime it was in a Loguetown novel drawn by another artist, as a way for Oda to still publish these stories.

I would actually be pleased if this enemy appeared, mainly because the anime right now is in need of some filler. I mean it's unusable yet but it's nice the anime team prepared themselves(if this enemy even appears again of course).

Okay, as for the filler management, even if popularity was the reason, then the fillers you're giving as an example were back around episode 50. One Piece was nowhere near most popular anime back then, heck, as an anime, it isn't even now(manga is a different story).

"At that time" is a really loose term. the Calm Belt thing was in filler, sure, but it already was in the manga, it's not like the anime added anything new, except for a bad filler arc, which is different from this, because aside from the fact that they met a strong enemy in the new world, nothing was said. Plus it's filler, it can't cross with the manga, because there are people who don't watch the anime.

Hm, my second comment didn't appear.
As for Daddy the Father, Oda did want to include him into the manga but as you said, didn't have time and wanted to leave Loguetown at chapter 100....so that's why another artist drew the Loguetown Novel, where Daddy the Father appears, maybe because Oda wanted to publish these stories. This is where anime got it from.
No hard feelings, I hope you feel the same way, but chance of this being Akainu is like 5%.
