  • what is the song on 0:48 ?

  • @leguitaristedu44

    Brian Adams run to you.

  • whats the 0:57 song?

  • @rgt4all

    The Beatles, Help!

  • @bubu245 thanks(: gonna learn that on guitar:P

  • really queen like IMO(:

  • Now that's how you demo a pedal!

  • gah! Whats that song at 47?

  • @wallonthefly run to you - bryan adams

  • @CarloxRosse Thanks! :D

  • the best sound was from 0:48 onward, great sound. and a sound that is hard to get i think. distorted but clean and compressed..

  • thanks for the demo! the clean to moderate drive settings on this thing are worth the price alone

  • a suggest a grenade without the pin is good for you

  • can i make the efect like in you cant do that in beatles songs?

  • sounds just like a vox!

  • you have great demos...keep up the excellent work!

  • If you would like to see a PROGRAMMABLE RACKMOUNT VERSION of these amazing pedals, let your request be known to the friendly folks at Tech21. Contact info is available on their website. Good luck!

  • @ascendedmastersclub i sended them an Email with this question /request , and they never send me an reply about this , I think they're too big for us small people

  • i never knew there was a liverpool pedal awesomeness

  • Can you cotrol the distortion level with volume knob of guitar when using only direct sound? Sansamp GT-2 couldn't well.

  • The control is better than the GT2. Also it is much improved in live use.

  • 0.45s is "Tie your mama down" from the 80´s hair metal band named Villian which only edited one record called "only time will tell" I recomend that record.

  • Comment removed

  • Tie your Mother Down was originally played by Queen. It's on their Day at The Races Album. The song was written by Brian May.

  • If I named my band Tech 21 would I get sued for copyright violations?

  • No, as long as it is not a electronic product.

  • very nice-I wanted it to keep going

  • these are really good videos of the tech 21 pedals u've done. are you micing a amp and running into the computer ? thanks for taking the time to DEMO

  • It is a 50/50 mix of direct and miked sound direct to the sound card. Flat EQ.

  • what is the second tune called? Sounds nice

  • Improvisation, based on Queen's We will rock you guitar riff at the end of the song.

  • oh okay. really cool anyways

  • what is the second last song played?? that riff sounds awesome!

  • Brian Adams, Run to you

  • wow

  • Wow, I'm shocked. These things sound great in these YouTube vids. Like the real thing. Would be great for recording.

  • Even better than the real thing

  • bubu, i have a psa-1 and love it. how similar are the circuits between the liverpool and the psa-1, in other words, are there tones available in the liverpool that i can't find in the psa-1? thanks man. your gear makes me very happy.

  • Hey shmathers1! Sorry I couldn't answer I was away. The Liverpool has somewhat different circuit. You can get most of the sounds from the PSA1 but not the more extremes.

  • as always thanks for the advice. ^^

  • Bubu what guitar did you used for this demonstration, a telecaster or a strat or another type, i have a guitar equiped with emg Steve Lukater pickup and im not sure to obtain a sound like your demo in neck single coil position or in humbucker position. thx

  • Early ('74?) Fender strat. You'll need single coil pick ups to get that shimmer. I've replaced the pickups with DiMarzio HS3's to cut the noise.

I can't even get close to that sound with the Les Paul. However for lead work the humbuckers are great.

  • Hey there,

Can you still get some shimmer w/ P90's ? I plan to get a Jazzmaster.....Copy haha, in the near future, I might go for a Jag, but I have a tele w/ some stock P90 in the neck... hoping that upgrading to whatever other P90's out there will take a bit of the mud out + this pedal. I'm never using humbuckers again !

    Thanks for your time.

  • You right about the shimmer. The P90 will be in between the humbucker and a single coil. I had very good results with DiMarzio HS3 pickups, to cancel the noise but retain the shimmer. ( As per above recording ), GL

  • Humbuckers aren't very musical/versatile pups At All. You can't manipulate them much. Wish I have of known that in the beginning. I never, ever thought I'd be a single coil lady. My aesthetics are diff now. It'd probs be improper to put a bridge P90 in a neck to "brighten" things, but I have a very inquisitive mind when it comes to guitar. HA I'm sure I don't know enough to know any better, but it could be my pedal (Frantone Peachfuzz) mudding things up, but only an optimist guess ? Ha....

  • B/c I guess P90s are never going to

be that bright, unless it's in bridge I guess ?

My best bet would probs be to exchange

Tele for one with 2 singles, or just use

bridge for "shimmer" & neck for other style.

    Thanks for your time !

  • @TRASHidols Fender doesn't use Gibson P-90 pickups in the Jazzmaster. :) It is a common misconception because they look alike. However, they are very different in every other way.

  • Whats the last song or riff played?

  • Beatles, Help!

  • oh yeah! ok, thanks

  • it's not sound like the brian may pedal but the tone is very good and sound awesome for combo taste like Orange or Vox, for the Brian may sound you need a real red special ^^ with burn trisonic pick up out of phase switch and a real vox ac 30, and maybe those tech 21 liverpool or the digitech brian may red special this one are half analogue for the preamplifier and half digital for the modeling if you dont use a real burn trisonic pickup.

  • which pedal do you prefer out of all the character series

  • Liverpool, but it is my personal taste. Some people like chopped liver, some don't!

  • brian adams! c'moan!!!!!

  • I am curious as to why you still cannot find these pedals anywhere. The official website says June and it is now July 14.

  • I might be able to help you. Tell me where you are.

  • I am in Altoona, Pennsylvania

  • It is really up to the retailers. The factoy can make all the pedals in the world, if the local stores don't have it on order you'll see none.

  • I would like to hear this with a Gibson SG with humbuckers.

    Also, let's hear a Rickenbacker 12!

I have 2 Original pedals from 1991. Is the character series an improvement or equal? The Original is the only pedal I can get the Eric Johnson tone with an SG. Is the British pedal an improvement for this tone?

  • This pedal has a completely different circuit. Some of the tones will be similar to the Classic, but there are a lot of new tones. This is due to the three band tone control, and the character control. I am pretty jammed up right now to do more sound samples, and I don't have access to the Rick 12. However I'll ask around, and if time permits we'll do some more samples. By the way, thanks for the support!

  • Thanks! I may pick up the Liverpool for my Rick 12. I'd be interested in comparing it to my UK AC-30 w/alnico blues. For the British sound I've yet to hear better than the Original. If you check out my 3 videos you will hear my 17 year old Original pedal in each with my SG-61. I'm on the right.

    -Mike

  • Cool playing! I think you are on the right track. The Liverpool would give you some new sounds, and the classic is hard to beat on it's own turf. Don't forget to post a video with the Ric 12 and the Liverpool, if you can! Thanks a bunch!

  • Which amp and guitar are you running with these pedals?

  • Tech 21 Power engine 60 split with direct signal 50/50. Flat Eq on amp and board. Average talk volume. '77 Fender Strat.

  • wow, sounds amazing! so if i were to get this set up would i just have hook up the pedal to the power engine? anything else? what kind of cables? thanks:).

  • I used Spectraflex cables, except the jumper between the pedals. There was absolutely no other pedals or effects. Oh yeah, I had HS3 Dimarzio pick ups to cut the external noise, but they don't change the tone too much.

  • ok cool thanks! but just to be clear do you connect that to the power engine the same way you'd use a pedal with an amp? thanks!

  • Yes used the 1/4 Inch input, and used the XLR out to the board. Volume 1/4 up EQ 's all flat.

  • what amp is this immitating? bluesbreaker? ac30?

  • AC30
