This may be a stupid question but, After you saved the site-setup you then opened the code view, HOW? as when I saved the site-setup it just went back to before the site-setup.

@waterdragon1908 Dreamweaver creates an HTML folder, which you must then proceed to upload using a Web Hosting Website, or get your own server to upload it with.

@waterdragon1908 Ooo... IDK... On my comp (Vista) all my HTML folders made by Dreamweaver, are saved to "My Websites" under Documents. It's also possible you haven't been saving it properly. I haven't encountered this problem before, TBH... What did you name your file? I can't remember, but I believe Dreamweaver presets folders to ".html" so, maybe you disabled the html part? (Something you should notice about HTML files, they always share the same icon as your web browser.) That's all I got. :|

@HermoineGrangerFan1 If you are 11 years old and are basically saying you are just now starting doing web design, you should not begin trying to make websites with Dreamweaver. For it is WAY to complex for a beginner, You should try Wix to make your site.

@sonsun44 You never answered the previous questions. Not your adobe user your website user. When you buy a website you get a pass and user and usually access to cpanel. From the looks of it you dont have a website yet. That is most likely the reason you get errors because your telling it to connect to something that doesnt exist.

@sonsun44 The trial is fully featured for 30 days. Try hostgator, godaddy, hostmct... there are many companies for this.

@sonsun44 Once again user and pass are provided by the hosting company not Adobe. You will need to purchase dreamweaver and a hosting package to run the site. If you are a kid you will need an adult with a credit card to buy these.

@sonsun44 Sure. First do you have a valid testing server (usually given by a hosting company)? Did you enter the correct password and username? You can confirm this by hitting the test button.

hi, is it possible to JUST remotley edit files through FTP... instead of the whole fuss with creating a SITE FOLDER on the desktop or w/e ... i dont really want all the extra fuss with cashe etc.. I just want to edit files through FTP alone , how do i do that ?

@enatomx Hello, Yes there is. Theres a program for Firefox called FireFTP. As long as you have the login info for your site it should work fine.
