  • Cute :-).

  • I thought to myself this baby is going to pee all over thay nurse if you don't put a diaper on him, but someone says it was a girl.

  • what an amazing comment below! Just shows that one never knows when someone will die.. Your Grandpa lived in three centuries, and that takes some doing- hope you live as long!

  • My grandpa was born in 1898 and lived until 2000. My grandma died in 1960, and they made a double headstone and put 1898 - 19__ on his side. They had to fix that after he died. He would've gotten a kick out of that. lol

  • An epic "How to bath a Baby" tutorial clip.

  • Hmm, my great-grandmother and great-grandfather where both born around or in 1905 and lived until about the late 1990's. I wonder if that baby in the film lived that long...it's not unusual for people to lived up until they're 100. :)

  • @diablaxcrista She died in 1997. See my comment below for more details.

  • Anyone think its odd that this baby girl isn't being breastfed? Especially in those days? or did her mother die? wow, strange when i was a baby I was breastfed until 5 months and i'm almost 30 years old. I wonder if they had a pump, cause that baby bottle looks kinda weird.

  • I somehow do not have sound :(

  • @RaidoRus Because film at this stage was silent. You would have to wait another 25 years or so before they had movies with sound.

  • look at it this way 100 yrs from now if the world last that long people would be looking at us like look how they are dancing look at them singing look at their clothes and the cars would b flying and they would be seeing holographic images of it lol i hope im around lol

  • What would be STRANGE if that baby was alive Now 110 years old and Looking BACK at Their Self as a baby that would be Numbing !!

  • @YuTubeOO Actually.. 105 years old :)

  • babies were so cute back then

  • I love these old movies but i feel sad for the people in them :/

  • Did Roman Polanski direct this?

  • If he had he'd have been there molesting the baby

  • @fishpreacher

    lol!!!

  • @fishpreacher Yes he did, he is in white uniform, the old molester

  • It's strange to think that that baby probably grew up, waxed old, and died long ago.

  • he could be 105 now maybe still alive

  • @dasdasdus the baby is a girl...she is the daughter of the film maker.

  • @BirdValiant or died of measles a month later...

  • @BirdValiant Ikr... Here we are sitting in 2010 watching a baby get bathed that is older than our (Or my.. I dont know how old you are) Grandparents :S

That baby may have died YEARS! ago.. It could have died over 50 years ago of an Illness.. It could have died of old age... It could have been very VERY! old and died only are 10 or 20 years ago !

It makes you wonder doesnt it :)

    (P.s. Sorry for Rambling)

  • @FillionDollarSmile The baby was the filmmaker's daughter Elizabeth Hepworth, born December 1904, died July 1997.

  • @BFIfilms Wow... I was born by then.. This baby didnt even die that long ago !

  • @FillionDollarSmile LOL....MY GRANDPARENTS WERE BORN IN 1939 AND 1940. i AM 29 YEARS OLD. LOL. BY MOTHER WAS BORN 1958 . WOW...HUH? CUTE. My great grandmother was born 1920 so, i am almost 30 and its almost 2011! So this baby would be someones great-great grandmother! wow.

  • I hear they're going to to do a remake of this

  • Wonder what happened to this baby. Amazing video!

  • if he is living he must be at least 100 years the big probability that is he is dead now

  • Haha, he was a cutie pie though.

  • Little Girl, (more info.)

  • Bathing babies hasn't changed in over 100 years.

  • I wonder what that nurse was saying at the begining of this film? Probably something like: "What a waste of time...no one will ever watch this movie!!" ^_^

  • wow i wonder if the baby is like 100 years old yet man that baby is lucky to have a film of her or him survive for soo long

  • she BATHED it.... Go and get your GLASSES! O_O
